We own a vacation home in Beaver Creek. Over the years we have heard, but never experienced , rude behavior by the management and staff at the Park Hyatt. That was until February, 2007. On that night we went to Antler Hall for an after dinner drink. The lounge was quiet, with several solitary drinkers, no music, no laughter, the atmosphere seemed quite morose. This was a suitable atmosphere for that evening, as we were quietly discussing the recent loss of a dear friend. After one drink we were refused service and asked to leave. We were not loud, we were not intoxicated, we were not boisterous, or behaving in any unusual way. When we asked for an explanation, we were ignored. We left without argument, but we were dumbstruck by the inexplicable rudeness of the staff and management. It appears the Park Hyatt in Beaver Creek has become an increasingly unsuitable place to waste your time and money. The service is at an all time low, with location, location, location the only plus. Wake up Hyatt management, you have competition in Avon with much more on the horizon. Get rid of the poor attitude toward your patrons. The group you saw fit to kick out that night all started businesses in the early 'seventies. We made those businesses successful, allowing us to frequent your excessively expensive hotel. If we had treated our clients, patients, customers, associates, etc. in the manner we were treated we certainly would not be able to afford a $12.00 drink served up by clueless, snotty little twits, like the ones working The Antler lounge that night.
