Description: Toscanini is nestled at the base of Beaver Creek Mountain, next to the skating rink in the heart of the village. The alpine backdrop lends itself to la dolce vita, and the atmosphere is lively and informal. The cuisine is stylish and contemporary, the flavor authentically Italian. Watch our chefs prepare individual pizzas, house-made pastas, and fresh seafood in the open kitchen. Enjoy a selection from our Wine Spectator Award of Excellence Italian wine list. Our newly expanded bar and lounge is the perfect stop for cocktails, small dishes or dinner before heading down the escalators to the Vilar Center for the Arts. Toscanini is open daily at 3pm for apres and 5pm for dinner. 2017-2018 Winter Season (November 18th - April 14th). Serving Daily 3pm - Close. Apres from 3-5pm in the bar, lounge and patio. Dinner from 5pm - close. 2018 Summer Season (June 1st - October 6th). Apres from 3-5pm in the bar, lounge, and patio. Dinner from 5pm - close.

Given their great location and pricey menu, one would expect a great dining experience. Not the case. Service was spotty (we were seated rink-side, so somewhat removed from the actual restaurant) and the portions were definitely on the small side. Also, no one was astounded by the flavors.

A few people ordered pizza; was much better at the Blue Moose next door. Others ordered the fish (trout) - tiny and better at the Chop House. Basic pastas range from $26-$28 so be prepared.

Based on the other restaurants in the area, you will find better experiences.

The atmophere is wonderful and very convenient for Beaver Creek in the Village. Had dessert and it was good. The bartender is personable and happy.

We visited over labor day--slower season. We were enticed by some specials and a delicious menu, so we dined. Great wine. Great bread before the meal. Great portions. Only complaint, (and we're not one to complain, and didn't complain) is that they have long, dark fabric covering the kitchen area and we were seated right next to it where there was very little lighting over the table. Not sure how the kitchen would look if it was pulled down, but I typically like the light/view of the kitchen. Other than that, great meal!

For a busy place we thought this must be great food. Unfortunately we were very wrong. Service was a bit odd and not politically correct. Wine prices were high and food turned out to be average, at very best.
The wine menu is long and the wait staff pushes specials. This meant that the over-priced wine they had too much of wass reduced to slightly higher prices than what they should be. The selections looks impressive, but the wines are average.
Food wait time was far too long and the food itself extremely average. Our meat dishes were not hot and certainly not tender. Pasta was not bad, but with little taste.

My wife ordered a kid's version of the lasagna for my son, who did not eat all of it. I devoured it and was happy to do so. Very good for lasagna. I ordered a spaghetti with bolognese that has the scent of truffle, though none were in it. It was quite good! I recommend this place based on this one experience. The vino was awesome, we were splurging as we celebrated our anniversary.
