It's hard to find true Chinese food in resort towns. Most have gone fusion or combine Chinese, Japanese and Thai. China Garden is the athentic food. Food comes out of the kitchen quickly portions are generous. Wish they were located in a more attractive setting.

This is not Chinatown in Chicago or SFO...nothing exotic or extraordinary, but China Garden provided competent Chinese food in a nice setting at a reasonable price. We sat on the patio. Our server was an older Chinese lady who may have been the owner's family. The egg rolls were probably not hand made, but were crispy and hot, with good duck sauce. We had moo goo gai pan and a mixed kung po item. the MPPP had lots of white meat chicken, crisp veggies and a nice white sauce. The kung po had lots of beef, chicken, pork, peanuts in a moderately spicy sauce. Everything was hot, and nicely presented. Rice was nice and fluffy. We had no issues, the service was great, and we would go back.

My family and I traveled to Beaver Creek in June 2011 and had a great time. We found out about China Garden through a dining guide. Overall, it was fine. Nothing amazingly outstanding, nothing poorly made either. Just ok.

For an establishment that has been in business a considerable length of time, and one that has survived in a community which has demanding and discriminating customer base, the food was a great disappointment. We had take out for two and paid over $30.(no soup, just two entrees and rice) and two egg rolls. The Mandarin Beef was so bland that we had to add soy sauce and a few other spices we had at home. The egg rolls were greasy and had a funny taste. We debated about whether we should even save the leftovers.
