Beaver Creek is a top-notch ski resort. Plentiful free parking. Excellent on days when Vail is slammed!

9" of fresh powder made for an excellent day of skiing on fun, uncrowded slopes. The 'Lifties" are the friendliest ever. The mountain views are spectacular. Park in the lower free lots or pay $33. for close in parking.

The full organization, from your boot fitting to transportation around the village is always pleasant. Great staff and great ski school instructors. The best one, Bobby Butler, very experienced and always with a positive attitude to improve your ski skills.

Aside from Holidays, there are very few lift lines, good variety of ski terrain from beginner to expert, excellent ski school (especially for kids!), and friendly service. Beaver Creek does a great job of making the overall ski experience very easy - with mountain shuttle service, escalators, and lift access!

From outdoor escalators in the village to get you up to the slopes in your clunky ski boots to solicitous personnel and well-groomed runs, Beaver Creek is an upscale experience -- complete with upscale pricing. Be sure to buy your lift tickets in advance (Epic Pass or Peaks program offer better values than day rates at the window). The slopes offer a good mix of beginner, intermediate and advanced runs with many similar level runs grouped together off the same lift. Minimal lift lines even during a busy Easter week. On-mountain dining is tasty but overpriced (How can two vegetarian chilis, two corn breads and two hot chocolate cost more than $50?). While there are many places to eat at the bottom of the slopes in the Village or at Bachelor's Gulch or Arrowwood -- the options are limited for on-mountain dining -- and they are in the process of bulldozing Redtail Camp (which had the best atmosphere -- especially on a sunny day). There are several on-mountain cabins that serve a sit-down lunch but they must be reserved so far in advance they don't even bother to market them.
