We stayed here in a tent over the 4th of July 2013. Riverside RV park is mostly for large RV's but accommodates tents on a grassy area. A beautiful stream runs right through the park. It is close to Pagosa Springs, Mesa Verde NP and Durango for fun places to visit. Clean restrooms were a bit of a walk from our site but not too bad. The stream kept everything moist so the bugs were plentiful. We had a fun vacation in the San Juans and the Riverside RV park was a nice base station.
- Official Description (provided by the hotel):
- Bayfield Riverside RV Park is a beautiful, lush 36-acre RV park on the Pine River between Durango and Pagosa Springs on U.S. Hwy 160. Refresh from your travels as you explore the park, following paths along the creeks and though our meadows. Our park offers over 100 sites ranging from full-service RV sites along the water (with free cable TV & Wi-Fi), to quiet, grassy meadows for tent camping. Our bathrooms and coin laundry are always open and clean. We love pets and they are welcome in our park but you must clean up after them. Our park feels secluded but it's only a half mile to Bayfield, which offers restaurants, quaint shops, grocery stores, a micro-brewery, and a state of the art library. A short 14 mile drive and you will be in downtown Durango with its abundance of shops and restaurants. You can spend your days fishing our ponds and streams or exploring the many attractions of Southwest Colorado. Bayfield is located at 6,800' in elevation, so our days are warm and the evenings are cool. Experience three beautiful seasons with more than 300 days of blue skies and sunshine! ... more less
