What a lovely home! All the amenities and upgrades promised for a comfortable stay, a gorgeous gourmet kitchen, (nicer than mine at home!) modern high speed wifi that really does work, but yet we were surrounded by the rustic setting of the Colorado Rockies at the foot of many trailheads of Pike National Forest. And it was true...there are beautiful views from all windows.
I especially love the 3 decks for different times of the day or night and meandering amongst the Aspen grove on the property that is just getting ready to leaf out.
We saw deer and elk everyday, hawk and other birds. One trail head was a short walk up the hill and we enjoyed following the trail in the forest to a hill where we climbed to view a beautiful ridge vista.
It was soooo quiet at night....peaceful.
It was an easy getaway for us from Denver Metro, only 40 minutes uphill and easy access. Everything we wanted without us having to leave the property (but we did to go for long hikes and sit by the pond).
The host was most helpful and gracious & readily available.
Wouldn't mind coming back here for a quintessential Colorado Christmas (there is a large brick hearth & fireplace in the great room & lots of cozy spots to curl up in.
