“Great price, great breakfast!”
Reviewed May 11, 2012

We really appreciated the clean rooms. The shower however ran cool then warm. But everything else was adequate. Great price! A nice restaurant on the premises. Centrally located near mall and shops and within walking distance to several restaurants.

The desk staff was very helpful and polite. Our room was clean and spacious, but overlooked an apartment building whose front doors faced our window. It was a little noisy, but then did quiet down later at night. The breakfast buffet included scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage, toast, fruit, and juice. The help was a little slow at replenishing supplies at breakfast. For the price we paid for the room, I would stay here again. The location was good for being close to the starting point for our hike in the Sutter Buttes.

Room Tip: Try not to get a room overlooking the apartments.

Paid shy of $42 (including tax) for Fri and Sat nights lodging to attend the Bok Kai Festival in nearby Marysville. This is by far the cheapest I have ever paid for a hotel room. Very very clean and spacious room. Lots of services nearby. Close to the 99 and 70 hwys.

However, I do have a few minor complaints:
- bed too soft for me
- housekeeping did not pick up any used towels (and I didn't leave them on the rack either)
- restaurant was not willing to let me borrow a plate to eat leftover in my room
- buffet breakfast was kinda weak but very adequate for what I paid for

Will definitely stay here again if travelling in the vincinity.

Room Tip: All rooms have windows open to face the apartments behind. Residents there are quite noisy and loud...

I found the staff to be very helpful. The front desk lady I think her name was janet help give us directions around the area. Also the breakfast buffet was delious. Gina in housekeeping also very friendly. I would tell anyone who is looking for a expectionally clean room curtious staff to stay here.

I just called this hotel and inquired about bereavement rates. The gal that answered the phone just said, "No, I don't even know what that is." I said okay, and she immediately hung up! She didn't even give me a chance to inquire about regular rates. We will be in the area for my father in laws funeral. I'm hoping to find a hotel that is at least friendly in our time of loss.

Other people have raved about the breakfast buffet but the breakfast is pretty awful. It is the same each day - a chafing dish of overcooked eggs, overcooked bacon and sausages, and greasy potatoes. You have your choice of two gummy pastries and can wash it down with bad coffee. You can get cereal and thin slices of unripe melon. Where were the waffles that other people had mentioned? The bed needed a new mattress. When you hear the springs pop, it is a sign it needs to be replaced. Housekeeping is so-so but the room appeared clean. Yuba City is hot and you need a.c. It is not central but individual units that are very noisy. This place is serviceable and cheap but you get what you pay for.
