“Little secret”
Reviewed July 19, 2014

Didn't know of this little brewery that has been right off of Plumas street. We decided to go for a little Sunday lunch. Had great service, and the most unusual Ruben salad....YES, salad. Love Rubens, but hate the extra sodium and extra calories. This salad was as lite as a Ruben could be with still the delicious flavor of a Ruben! Very nice atmosphere, just a little chilly inside.

“Yuba City Bright Light”
Reviewed July 8, 2014 via mobile

Sutter Buttes Brewery feels upscale compared to many of the chain restaurants and older establishments in town. It's interior is new and modern, despite the alpen theme. The food is fresh and the flavors are well thought out. Consider sharing an order if you're not very hungry because portions are plentiful. Oh, and the beer that they brew onsite is above average. The day we visited they had a wide variety of hoppey beers and a few others. I enjoyed my lime cilantro chicken wrap very much. My husband's burger was fine pub fare. They had lots of kinds of fries. The garlic fries and sweet potato fries were excellent.

“Overrated and overpriced”
Reviewed June 14, 2014 via mobile

Well we had 4 diff items and was not impressed with any! Service was beyond slow and only 4 tables in the place had people at them. Had onion rings and the onion was crunchy and the batter greasy and the hop aioli was gross asked for ranch instead and they charged me .50 the cost is not the point it's the fact is if you did not like what they brought you I would think they would want you to like something else but that's not the case ! Burger bun had nothing on it and did not even ask if we wanted something for the dry bread. The meatloaf sandwich was squishy and bread soggy. The arugula salad for 9.00 bucks was the smallest portion they could have served and it was NOT fresh. Asked for BBQ sauce to make the meatloaf sandwich better and you goy it they charged another .50 cents. Here is the best part ordered a pizza and it came without cheese so when does pizza come dry? Even the waitress was surprised but then said the menu says olive oil so that means we should know you don't get cheese? $56.00 dollars later I was disgusted we tried the place and the best part was they had the fans on high it blew your hair up and when asked if they could be turned down was told NO THE OWNER CONTROLS THEM FROM HIS CELL PHONE AND HE IS NOT HERE! Well attention Mr. Owner it is unfair to make customers uncomfortable when they are dining out and the answer your staff says is a joke! At least CityCafe has nothing to worry about with the food you are serving!

“Good place to find”
Reviewed June 1, 2014

Camping nearby and thought we would try the brewery. Great flights of beers for tasting and good food. The fish and chips were delicious.
As there were seven of us we reserved a table and were glad we did as the place soon filled up. The hostess was great and joined in with the birthday celebration for one of our party.
Only downside was that the beers not yet available to purchase for later. We were assured that this will be happening soon.

“Some new additions to the menu”
Reviewed May 5, 2014

My family and i are regulars here and very happy they have re-opened. The decor and painting around the brewery is just amazing and some great attention to detail. It puts off an old German restaurant vibe. The menu has changed a bit, we dove right into the new fire baked pizza and it was delicious. We had the Margherita Pizza and it hit the spot for our family. The beer is great to have back on tap again. I recommend the Sutter Common, it will be a great surprise and quite tasty. The only thing I hope they bring back are the wraps. They were taken off the menu when they re-opened and they were delicious.

They also post daily specials on their Facebook page, which has led us to unexpected trips to the brewery.
