“Good food”
Reviewed March 2, 2013

I live close to this restaurant but don't go there very often. The Mexican food is good and they give you plenty of it but I feel it is more for Americans then the regular mexican food is. I know of several other places where the food is a bit better but they are not local. Casa Lupe has a great deli and I like to stop there and get a taco for lunch when I am out working. It is also located close to the Veterans Building which I take care of.

“Good mexican”
Reviewed February 21, 2013

We went there 2 nights while in Yuba City. Great margaritas. Had quesadilla with refried beans and rice. Enchiladas with b & r, both were very good. The salsa could be improved upon, also more cheese to the dishes, but that's just personal preference.

“Just average”
Reviewed February 7, 2013

The food was bland. The chips weren't very tasty. The salsa was pretty good. The warm homemade tortillas were the best part of the meal. They made decent margaritas. Probably wouldn't go back.

“Good food but not especially spicy”
Reviewed January 16, 2013

Casa Lupe if one of our favorite spots for Mexican food. The food for the most part in not very spicy which is fine as not everyone likes spicy food. You can always ask for some of their freshly made hot green sauce to add a kick. The waitstaff is excellent and the food is delicious. They start your meal with freshly made chips and fresh salsa. If you get there before they run out, you get soup with your lunch M-F. Warm tortillas are also served. Most items on the menu are shy of $10 per person and they have a small child menu. A tiny bar is available for margaritas and other mixed drinks. The beer selection is unimaginative with mainstream American and Mexican beers. They don't have a banquet area, but can usually scoot some tables together for large parties. The restaurant is family owned and you will almost always see some of the family at the restaurant. Plus if you get a window seat you can watch the wild chickens that will be just outside the window.

“Mexican Restaurant Staple”
Reviewed December 11, 2012

This place is the first place I ate at in Yuba City. It has been around for years, is family owned, and has a good reputation. The food is good food. Only Mexicans would argue it not being 'authentico,' perhaps.
