When we travel from Seattle to San Francisco, we usually drive through Klamath Falls on Hiway 97 rather than on I-5. With snow on Santiam Pass and none on the Syskiyous, we drove I-5 instead with the intent of staying in Yreka. We pulled off the freeway for this hotel and were gald we did.
Warmly greeted by staff, we were assigned a room on the third floor facing west toward the freeway. There was some traffic noise from trucks but it was minor. Room was clean and comfortable, the furnishings like the rest of the hotel, looked new. TV stations were of those in the valley and from Medford, Oregon. In-room Internet is free. Although we didn't use them, an indoor pool and excercise room was available for guest use. A light breakfast was served in the breakfast room off the lobby which included cooked eggs, a variety of breads and cereals, sos, an assortment of juices. coffee and tea. The selection was better than at most hotels offering similar service.
Should we come this way again, we would definitely stay at this hotel again.

My husband and I stay here for a second time in October of 2010. We had also stayed in February of 2009. We especially like this hotel because it is very clean, has comfortable beds and a good breakfast to get you going in the morning. This place is only about 3 years old. We requested a room opposite Interstate 5 as last time we were on the I-5 side of the building and did hear traffic noise. As some have said the walls are thin and you can hear voices in the neighboring rooms. Just voices, not their actual words. While we wanted to be sleeping, the rooms near us were all quite so we got a good nights sleep. We will stay here again if we are traveling this stretch of road again as we see in looking at other hotel reviews it is the only place for miles in that area that has clean rooms and comfortable beds.

This is a fairly new hotel located near a freeway exit. There are no restaurants within walking distance. Like all Holiday Inn Express hotels, rooms have good showerheads, beds & pillows. The room had a flat screen TV, microwave & refrigerator. Wi-Fi was slow. We stayed on the 2nd floor - the room rates on the 1st floor were about $20 higher.

Ground floor room was noisy from up above, many children jumping aroung past 11:00 pm. Had to call front desk to make it stop. This is common in this hotel, the one in Medford Or. was the same way, Get a top floor for sure. Food was horrible, powder eggs are horrible and only one item comes out at a time and everyone rushes up to get it and its gone fast. Bathroom door creaks and manager called me and said there is nothing that can be done about it. He also said there is a central fan that pulls air out of the bathroom thus the fan not working.... Nope, no air moving in that room, what a good story from him to come back with though.... beds were comfy, clean and pretty, room was cool, was extremely disappointed there was no hot tub!

Stayed here on a business trip for several nights, and enjoyed this hotel. Everything was clean and new, as the hotel is not very old. Very helpful, attentive staff. There aren't any restaurants or businesses within walking distance. The place is isolated on a hill right on Hwy 5, so it was quiet. Our room was on the opposite side of the freeway, so we were not bothered by traffic noise. Nice exercise room. The pool is small, but we were the only ones using it, so it was fine - no whirlpool. The breakfast was adequate, but I would have liked a waffle maker! The other hotels in town were dated and kind of dumpy, so this is definitely a good price for the quality.

My husband and I stayed here twice -- once on our way from the SF Bay Area to Portland, and then again on our way back. We were very satisfierd with the large, clean, quiet and comfortable room. Staff were friendly and attentive. The breakfast was the usual motel breakfast, and they did have fresh fruit -- bananas. We disliked having TV in the breakfast room, but everyplace seems to do that, though we rarely see anyone wtching.

Two good places for dinner in Yreka are Capp's Speakeasy and Ming's Chinese Restaurant.

Both our GPS and Streets and Trips gave us the same incorrect directions, so call the motel or look at their web site for directions.
