We came to Yountville on our one year wedding anniversary. We loved the tomato soup with puff pastry and the beef stew was amazing. We were a little disappointed because we ordered diet coke and they charged us for refills but didn't let us know that they were charging us. I think that is a little shady but other than that the food was great. Would go again just wouldn't get refills:)

My wife and I have been spending a week to 10 days in Yountville for the past 10 years. We have always enjoyed the excellent restaurants in this small city. However, one is outstanding and that is Bisto Jeanty. It is not a supper fancy restaurant and was not created to be one. It is tastefully decorated and has comfortable seating. The menu contains a variety of foods prepared in a more simple manner than the typical Frence restaurant. Reservations are a must. The restaurant is not large and most of the staff has been with Jeanty for several years. There is very little waiting area and a very small bar. You can bring your own wine and pay a small corking fee. They have a very good wine list containing California wines.
I have found that most restaurant in this area will not charge you a corking fee it you order another bottle of wine from their wine list. While in the area make sure you visit Cosentino and White Hall Lane wineries. They both produce super wines and are not normally listed as "must see" wineries. One of White Hall Lanes Cab's was voted the fifth best wine in the world. There are four other fantastic restaurants (plus others that are very good) in this small town and the Yountville Inn is reasonable price and one of the nicest hotels in the area. Stay in Yountville. It is the start of the Napa Valley wine country with old time small town shops and a delight to behold.

After hearing so much about Bistro Jeanty, my husband and I decided to celebrate our anniversary there and were quite disappointed. We thought that the tomato soup in puff pastry was excellent, but the rest of the meal was not as good. Even though the Coq au Vin is one of their signature dishes, we didn't care for its flavor. The Daube de Boeuf was good but not outstanding. Service was also under par compared to the other restaurants in the area. And with all the fabulous restaurants in the Napa Valley region, we don't think we'll be returning to Bistro Jeanty anytime soon.

My husband and I had dinner here while celebrating our honeymoon. This was perhaps the best meal we had our entire 10 days. We started out with the tomato soup in a puff pasty (divine!) and escargot for our appetizers. My husband had the strip with bernaise sauce and I had the salmon- everything was incredible. So delicious! Would highly recommend! Best restaurant in Napa area!
