After spending a week in Yountville and eating our each evening, this was our second favorite dining experience! The food is traditional country French and exceptional! We ate outside, but the back dining room is charming too. We would definitely eat here again and highly recommend Bistro Jeanty.

The food is divine, the restaurant delightful - very French bistro. It's not expensive and always fabulous!

We went here with high hopes from reading other reviews.
I asked if I could try the Dry Rose and was told the owner did not allow this. (Odd since their wines is highly overpriced and if I am going to commit to a nice glass I would like to know it is going to go well with my entree. That is their policy and I understand cost control is more important that customer service. From this point on things went downhill.
If you have food allergies this is not the place for you. They do not care and understand the severity of serving you food with your allergen. The manager didn't even care after a member of our party was served an ingredient she was highly allergic too (even though they were informed when we sat down). Our waiter clearly noted this however there was a mix up in the kitchen. Be careful if you have a food allergy.
There is a bit of a snooty attitude here from management. There was never an apology offered from the manager. Just excuses. Their focus is cost control over customer satisfaction.
They get two stars instead of one because the rabbit was delicious. The steak tartar was bland, the escargot oily with no garlic flavor, the tomato soup was average along with the black cod. I understand that this was a busy holiday weekend, however management did nothing.
Really the attitude of manager and ownership ruined this meal from the start.

This restaurant was recommended to us by a Yountville resident and it was well worth the visit.
Luckily we had no problem getting a reservation ( not the norm!) and we thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.
The food was delicious. We had the Sole Meuniere and a beef dish. The portions were very generous and service excellent.

food is always exceptional, service superb. If you want French bistro without flying to France we highly recommend. We have had everything on the menu - never an average meal. Food is delicious, consistently good. Known for tomato soup. Cassoulet on a cool night is incredible. Sole Meunière is classic. Truly have never had an average meal. Service is great, food second to none. Highly recommend. We have eaten here the majority of times we have been in Napa.
