We were starved, having only nibbled snacks while wine-tasting, when we arrived and were so happy to see the portions at Bistro Jeanty weren't the typical itty-bitty-but-we'll-charge-you-a-small-fortune French portions!
We started with the Creme de Tomate en Croute (tomato soup in puff pastry which was creamy and quite delicious) and Steak Tartar (which was well-seasoned and tender [ie. pretty vein-free]). Then we progressed to the Daube de Boeuf (beef stew) and Boeuf Bourguignon (braised short ribs) which were both cooked to perfection with exactly the right amount of spices. The entrees also came with a healthy amount of vegetables which is great for a balanced meal.
Lastly, remember we were starved, we ordered the Epaule de Porc (pork shoulder). Again it was a nice-sized portion (we had leftovers) and the meat was very very tender. The brussel sprouts and butternut squash snuggled under the meat had absorbed the juices and were yummy as well.
Didn't order dessert, so can't comment on those, as our tummies were full and we had leftovers in hand!
