“Almond Croissants - the best!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 1, 2013

We had heard about the bakery so decided to have breakfast there one morning. My favourite croissant is almond and I have to say their almond croissant was the best I have ever tasted.

“New To French Dinning?”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 1, 2013

Once you get past menu prices and the unfamiliar dishes this restaurant will leave you amazed. After a long day of wine tasting and little appetite left my party of three were just able to make our reservation time. This was a celebration of my 70th birthday and was looking forward to a French dinning experience. Not able to handle a full meal we settled for the French Onion soup. There is not enough time and space here to tell you about great service and a new appreciation for what French Onion soup should be like. In spite of our light dinning we were more than treated well and at the end of dinner I was given a box of Bouchon Bakery as a gift. A very generous array of five different items which will require another review of fine pastry. Will need to book another flight to come again, but well worth the return.

“Superb food & service, terrible seating.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 28, 2013

Our dining experience at this well-known restaurant validated its reputation as far as superbly-prepared food goes, but the seating was actually terrible. We were seated in the bar area, which was a problem only because (1) the three small tables were spaced too close to each other, so that one had to turn sidewise to get in/out in order to avoid rubbing against the adjacent table; (2) the cushioned banquette was comfortable but unless one had a long torso or was tall they would find the seating too low when compared to the table surface; and (3) the large cast iron footing for the table made it impossible to place one's feet so as to sit comfortably during the meal. Having poor seating at a fine restaurant really has a negative impact on the dining experience. I wonder whether the manager has ever tried eating at one of those tables when all three were occupied. Anyone considering dining at Bouchon in Yountville would be well-advised to assure that they will be seated in the main dining area where there is more space to enjoy the meal. By the way, we made our reservation weeks in advance, and were never told we would be seated in a setting more suitable for sardines.

“Best Baked Goods in Yountville”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 27, 2013

If you are in Yountville and looking for fabulous bread this is a must stop. Also they make the best oatmeal raisin cookies ever. You can take out any of their mouthwatering baked goods as well as sit down to enjoy. Bouchon got it right when they opened this bakery outlet. I will make sure to return every visit.

“Baked Goodness”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 26, 2013 via mobile

So after a filling meal at Bottega, we had to stop at Bouchon for some goodies to take home. Macarons, and the croissants... the chocolate and almond are to die for. Love.
