We stayed here because we were joing a group of fellow wine enthusiasts for a weekend-long event. We had never heard of this place prior. We were so very pleased upon arrival. We'd travelled all day and were tired and just wanted to rest before starting the evening. The tranquility of this place puts you at rest almost immediately! Our desk clerk was very friendly and rattled off all the amenities (of which there were several). However, I would have so much appreciated a written list or been informed that I could review those items on the TV screen in our room. (I happened upon that information by accident). But, that really was a minor thing. The champagne breakfast is really fine! We were so scheduled that we didn't really have a chance to experience the other offerings. My only real complaints were: we were on a ground floor and could hear everytime the guest above walked across the floor; and, the A/C unit didn't have an "on" selection for the fan and we had to listen to it go on and off all night.

Room Tip: Ask for a second level room.

We booked one night at the Vintage Inn but enjoyed it so much that we extended our stay another night. I was quite impressed with the terrific job by the staff, in particular Jeff, the manager, and Alexandra, whom I think is the front desk manager. These people do not know how to say "no." The housekeeping staff was efficient, quick to respond and always very pleasant. The gorgeous grounds surprised me. The peacefulness of the pool area (no kids during our weekend stay!!) and the comfortable poolside beds were terrific. The delicious breakfast buffet, afternoon tea and lemonade and nuts in the lobby were unexpected -- and much-appreciated -- perks. Hotels in Yountville aren't cheap but thankfully Vintage Inn adds to the value with these perks. We were there during a power outage in the entire neighborhood and surrounding areas and the staff couldn't have taken better care of us when we arrived to the hotel from dinner in the dark. Too bad we're on the wagon and couldn't take advantage of the complimentary wine in the lobby but that was a nice touch. The hotel is next to the highway but the slight hum of traffic didn't bother me. I never heard the wine train but my boyfriend said it shook the room slightly. (I was too busy enjoying the jets in the over-sized bathtub in the spacious bathroom to notice!) What did bother us were the guests above (two different sets). If you can, book an upstairs room so you don't have to hear the footsteps above. However, we liked being able to open the door to the grassy area for the dog. This is a great hotel for pets too.

Room Tip: Downstairs rooms put you at the mercy of footsteps above but are great if you're traveling with...

My wife and I have stayed at a lot of hotels but nothing compares to the Vintage Inn. Lets start with the staff; the were friendly and very helpful. Not fawning friendly, really friendly from the front desk to housekeeping to anybody associated with the facility. They must have trained at Disney. The facility is one of the nicest, well maintained I have ever seen. Our room was roomy, well laid out and the appointments were first rate. We spent a fair amount of time there and it was really comfy. The bathroom was five star except for the hair dryer according to my wife. I believe all the rooms have a balcony with chairs and table and it is one of the few times we really used it during our five night stay. The breakfast and afternoon tea are worth the price of admission. The pool and hot tub were on our itinerary ever afternoon after a hard day of cycling and wine tasting. Great setting.

The Vintage Inn isn't the cheapest place in Yountsville but I know it is the friendliest place with the best rooms. I could live there full time.

Room Tip: Second floor

That was the best choice we could had in Napa Valley. Out of croud cities around Napa, Yountville is the best option for those who are willimg for a quiet and lovelly place to stay. And Vintage Inn would be the very best option... Don't forget to use the spa facilities (walking distance) and walk around local market.

First, this is not a cheap hotel. You get what you pay for. Celebrated an anniversary here and decided to splurge. Hotel accommodated me last min with a great interior courtyard room (request this..much quieter and beautiful courtyard view. They had a bottle of champagne on ice when I arrived with a nice note. Very professional and classy move. Room was well appointed with king bed and dining area. Coffee maker, small refrigerator and microwave in room. Large deck was a nice touch to relax on with a glass of wine. Daily breakfast (included) was excellent. Omelet and waffle stations. Huge selection of fruit, cheese, pastries, granola and champagne each morning. Small bar in lobby was well stocked. Very friendly staff. Ethan (must have been only 20) was a wealth of info and knew his wine. He was outstanding! Walking distance to several tasting rooms and some excellent restaurants. All in all a great experience. Splurge a little and you will be impressed.

We have stayed at the Inn many times over the past years. The Yountville location puts you in walking distance to some of the best restaurants the area has to offer. The rooms are large and well appointed. We love to use the fireplace during winter stays. Comfy robes, coffee makers and a welcome bottle of wine are all nice touches. We have always found the staff welcoming and efficient. The rooms are very clean. There's a very nice pool area and well manicured landscaping.

During our midweek stay there was roof replacement being completed. Check in was a bit confusing. Guests should have been notified prior to arrival that construction was in process. We have never found a problem with barking dogs or Hwy traffic noise.

Breakfast is outstanding and included with your stay.

We booked a room via Expedia and stayed Wednesday-Friday. We had an "outside room", whereby it somewhat faced the main road (room 902). We did not have an issue with noise at all. The room was great...spacious, clean, and came with a bottle of wine! We enjoyed the bottle on our back porch when we arrived. The location was perfect. We walked to dinner every evening. The concierge helped us book a wine tour (last minute). She was really responsive and helpful. The breakfast was great. The omlet station was delicious.
