“Vintage Inn is ver nice!”
Reviewed September 28, 2007

Very nice - reception area, grounds were lovely. We were on the second floor in a room with vaulted ceiling and breakfast nook, sink, mini frig, coffeemaker. Room was very spacious and bath was great. A room on the back would get considerable noise from traffic. The breakfast was very nice. Pool area was well kept and landscaped. We loved the long cascading river rock pools throughout the grounds. Yountville was a cute little town. We ate at Martini House (FABULOUS) and Redd's (very good).
We recommend COPIA- so interesting!

The Vintage Inn is pricey - it is more of a "motel" feel than a resort. We also stayed at the Oak Knoll Inn which we loved. Would probably check into staying at the Poetry Inn (they didn't have reservations) or Meadowood Resort if the Oak Knoll is not available.

We stayed one night in the Napa Valley for a quick get-a-way. We've stayed in several hotels in the area but our friends recommended the Vintage Inn. Our goal was R&R and this place delivered. I would recommend a room on the 2nd floor. Ours had a vaulted ceiling and a nice large balcony. The room was spacious and included a fireplace. My favorite feature was the large bathroom with the oversized jacuzzi tub. Salts, candles, cozy robes, and our mid-week special included a bottle wine. What more could you ask for?

The bed linens were fresh - down comforters, down pillows (lots of them). I appreciated those details.

The service was also great. The gal at the front desk made reservations for us at a charming french restaurant down the street. We were able to walk around in Yountville. On the way home, we found ourselves listening to live music on the grass in front of the restaurant next door.

A champagne breakfast was included the next morning and it was delicious.

We'll be back!

We stayed at the Vintage Inn for a few days and visited a few of the wineries that are close by. We had an upstairs, king room that was a pretty good distance from the main road (we didn't notice any highway noise in our room) We felt that the hotel is pretty expensive for the quality of the room, but we had a pleasant stay.

I think that the property is lovely. The pool area is very nice with 3 large sunbeds, umbrellas and tables to sit at, etc. They provide limited food and beverage service by the pool as well. The grounds are nicely landscaped and very well kept with fountains, etc.

The rooms are just OK. Ours was clean, but they need to replace the carpet and the matresses. There is no storage for clothing except a small armoire that was in the bathroom. The bathrooms are large with double sinks and a jetted tub/shower. Nice L'Occitaine products are provided.

The breakfast was very good each morning and the also have a full bar service in the lobby area.

We stayed at the Vintage Inn for two nights over Memorial Day weekend, because we were eating at French Laundry and sveeral other nearby restaurants. The property did not seem to be fully booked for the holiday, which surprised us when we arrived but not by the time we left. When we arrived to check in, there was no effort made to show us and our bags to our room, which set the service tone for our entire visit - we had to lug them form the parking lot ourselves. The grounds are nice although the units are crammed in together a little closely - it is much less bucolic (and much closer to the noise of CA29) than the hotel website wants you to think. Our room was very large, on the upper level, with shuttered windows that open and a nice balcony with plenty of room. The bathroom was huge, witha very nice Jacuzzi tub. However, the decor of the room was nowhere near luxurious - cheap sheets that didn't fit the bed, hideous industrial grey carpeting, miniscule table lurking awkwardly in one corner. The bed was comfortable but saggy. The bathroom smelled faintly of mildew. The construction of the place does not appear to be very solid. The air conditioning unit rattled loudly whenever it was on - luckily it was not warm enough for us to need it. No matter how quietly we tried to walk, it sounded like we were stomping back and forth. I felt sorry for whoever was in the downstairs room. The room came with a free bottle of local semi-decent Chardonnay, which might have been a nice touch, except that we don't drink - we would rather have had fruit or some other kind of snack. The entire experience would have been fine except that we were paying $600/night for the room. Having just paid less than half that to stay at the Ritz in San Francisco, I felt robbed. This would be a very nice hotel at half the price, but at the current rates it is simply a rip-off. Yountville itself seemed like a Disney version of a town - we actually looked it up to see if it was "real" because it has the feel of a stage set.

Wow- I was impressed by the Vintage Inn. They really paid attention to details. Here were my favorites: soft robes, beatiful jetted soaking tub, great shampoo, lotions, etc., decks and patios, great swimming pool area with a nice hot tub, reallly great buffet breakfast with plenty of champagne, nice landscaping, refrigerators, and a very comfortable bed!
The location in Yountville is great, but the location next to the highway is a little loud. That being said, this is a really fabulous place to stay.

My husband and I celebrated his 40th birthday at this quaint and romantic Inn. It is located in the very beautiful town of Yountville and walking distance to great restaurants. Some have said the rooms are noisy. Ask for the room on the Yountville side by the circle fountain. Specifically upstairs for the high vaulted ceilings and you won't go wrong. The rooms are beautiful and spacious with fireplace and jacuzzi tub and balcony. The breakfast buffet is always fresh and very delicious with plenty of champagne included. We ate at the French Laundry, got in because of a cancellation. Wonderful experience of a lifetime with a hefty price tag of over $800 for the meal. The wine paring added up but you should try it at least once for a special occasion.
I would recommend this hotel without hesitation. The location to all the winerys was also great and the atmosphere was very relaxing. Loved the whole Napa experience.

We stayed at the Vintage Inn for 5 days during the crush of 2004. It was a beautiful location, excellent location, restaurants & shops within walking distance, and the friendliest staff we've ever had. The year prior we stayed at the Villagio Inn and adored it so much, we stayed here b/c we knew it was their sister hotel. Yountville is the perfect location for anyone traveling to Napa Valley. The breakfast at the Vintage (and Villagio) is terrific, afternoon tea is a nice perk after a day of visiting wineries, the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The fireplace is very nice, we lit our dur-a-log every nice. i'd read other reviews which say the noise level is disturbing from the highway and the fake logs are tacky, but we didn't find either of these things true at all. We loved every aspect of our stay here and would highly recommend it to anyone. A+
