I ate lunch at the cafe in the back of the Yountville Napa Style store on Saturday. Ordered the flank steak sandwich for $9.95. It came with some pesto mayo spread on the bun, arugula, and about one ounce of meat cut so thin I could see through it. It also came with a condiment size container of some pickled vegetable salad that was nasty. I was also informed when paying at the register I could purchase a side salad for $4.95.
Is this guy kidding? Cheaparello clearly thinks he is the pope of Napa Valley serving crap like this at these prices. Don't let his cheap plastic smile on the signage fool you. It is impossible for me to believe this guy is Italian when he doe's business like a gypsy.
Drive a little further up the road to V. Satui Winery in St. Helena. They have a deli, cheese shop, and a nice picnic area. You also get some value for your money without all the pomposity. Good luck.
