Bardessono is a breath of fresh air in the town of Yountville where most lodges are conventionally designed and 'village-style' driven. Its contemporary architecture with freestanding concrete bungalows permits maximum privacy and individual comfort. Each suite is accompanied with a standing shower and a jacuzzi tub with expansive glass windows at the viewer's disposal.
A rooftop pool with cabanas alongside is the highlight of my stay; during weekdays the pool seemed to be uninterrupted but flooded with sunshine.
Bikes are offered on site for the guests to tour the adjacent areas; however, be ware of riding the stylish cruisers which seemed to function at the speed less than walking. Other more sporty choices, although less stylishly, are more pragmatic.
One thing to avoid is the onsite restaurant, Lucy, with questionable services and even more indigestible breakfast menu items at a high cost, venture to Bistro Jeanty and Buchon instead, definitely.
Overall Bardessono is the one and must place to stay for guests who seek out of the ordinary luxury experiences with comfort and privacy in mind.More
