“Cool place”

This place was very cool. They made railway cars into hotel rooms. Nice location in town. Very large rooms with plenty of space. Outside seating in front of rooms to hang out. Close to many wineries. Would recommend.

We stayed one night in Room 8 last weekend. It is a small facility in the center of Yountville so you can walk to great restaurants. There was no one at the desk to check in but it was easy to do, the key was waiting at the health club next door. The room was quiet, clean and comfortable and everything worked well. We had all that we needed there and we had a great time. Very good value and we enjoyed ourselves. When we needed something we easily could go to the store just a block away. We would stay there again.

Room Tip: We were given Room 8 which was great because it was not right next to the coffee stand (which has ve...

So I emailed for a booking and got my dates wrong by complete accident. I never received a confirmation that they say they sent with the wrong date on it, so when I showed up at the Inn that night, they didn't have a room for us. They were nice enough to help me find a room somewhere else, and said that they would refund me the money to my credit card for the difference, and then they did not. I called them on it and they said that since it was my fault they would not give me my money back, even though they had said that they would. Very poor business sense and extremely bad PR since I am now writing this. BE SURE to check your confirmation email (if you in fact get one) otherwise you will be screwed!!! I would never stay here and will tell everyone I can to stay somewhere else. Petit Logis across the street is really a lot nicer.

My sister, mother, and myself stayed for two nights in this adorable little town. The location is perfect, in the middle of everything. We parked and didn't start our car until we left town. The railway cars are so cute, and the rooms were large and clean. The breezeway between the rooms let to a great little coffee shop where we went each morning. The restaurants are all within a block or two (short block). My 78 year old mother walked to everything, easily. All in all a great place, and wonderful stay.

This is a fun place to stay in generally an expensive area to travel. Location is perfect for exploring the best of yountville especially the outstanding restaurants. It isn't a luxury place, more a clean bed for the night with a clean simple bathroom, not the best shower in the world, but you can definitely relax in a hot bath. Good quality towels, sheets, toiletries and maid service.

The downside- it is a little noisy. Didn't bother us so much as we were up and about early to do stuff, but don't expect a quiet lie-in. The coffee caboose next door starts up at 8ish, so people can walk past your window and chatter. We also experienced the hot air balloons being filled with air at 6.30 am on Sunday morning literally outside our cabin - kind of sounds like someone mowing the lawn in the bedroom. Maybe this is just a Sunday thing. They'd gone by 7 though. Again we were up and in good holiday spirit so no big deal, but it may annoy others.

I recommend this place if you are looking for good value for money as a base to explore Napa and the best of Yountville. If you want luxury, peace, concierge etc, check into a more expensive hotel.

This is a very unique hotel - each room is an entire railway car. The rooms are huge with modern bathrooms and a very comfortable bed. The skylights throughout really make it lovely and bright.

This hotel is right in the centre of town - walking distance to The French Laundry. For sure worth a stay - and if you had kids with you, they'd LOVE IT !

Room Tip: they're all good - and at the end (the caboose) there's a great place for coffee and delicio...

We loved our stay at the railway inn! The rooms are spacious, clean, and very quiet. The location is perfect. We parked the car and walked from place to place. The price is affordable and worth the cost. We will return and recommend it to friends.
