Description: Chef Michael Chiarello has returned to his culinary roots by creating seasonal farm-to-table Italian cuisine reflecting the bold flavors of Chiarello’s heritage in his signature style 1st made famous at Tra Vigne in the 90’s. An award winning chef/vintner & Food Network host, Chiarello celebrates his Italian roots and the Napa Valley with a menu echoing his long practice of using the finest locally/sustainably produced food. Located in Yountville, in the heart of the Napa Valley, Bottega’s extensive wine list represents hard-to-find favorites of the Valley and interesting Italian selections. Chiarello restored the integrity of an old 1800’s estate by uncovering beautiful hard wood floors, timber beams, old brick walls and windows. The inviting dining room is accented with reclaimed antiques, warm fabrics and eclectic light fixtures lending to the restaurant’s old world comfort.

long time visitors to napa valley but first time to bottega. the setting was very nice, the service was spot on.
the food was good overall, however, my wife did not care for the bolognese she ordered. i had a short rib sandwich, asked for it to be cooked medium but it came medium rare. our friends had the flank steak and the prawns over pasta. the flank steak was excellent, seasoned just right.
we ordered desserts to share, the tiramisu was presented in a way i had never seen before. it was good, but i had better.
the prices were a little high but if the owner is a celebrity chef what can you expect.

Solid all around. Great menu, decor and price point. The quartinos are a great way to try different wines. Food was delish. Laura was a sweetheart and made the experience a real pleasure.

We hadn't heard of Bottega before booking, but seeing all of Michael Chiarello's recipe books in the V Market, we realised that it was going to be a good lunch.
We started with warmed bread w a delicious spread of olive oil, garlic, cheese, chilli and herbs (plus more I am sure). For Antipasti we had the tomatoes and burrata and the tuna tartare. Both were excellent. Next we had the tuna salad and the mushroom and corn pasta - both thoroughly enjoyed. Finally, though we didn't need it, we shared the tiramisu - it did not disappoint.
The service was excellent and the surroundings (we sat outside) relaxing.
It was a wonderful end to a big couple of days of eating. I would definitely come back, if we are lucky enough to visit the Napa Valley again.

We could not have asked for a better experience than this. Great food, service and ambiance. It was so good we came back for a repeat and would definitely suggest others make a point to add this one to their list.

My husband and I lived in Napa Valley for a couple years after leaving Silicon Valley / San Francisco and Bottega was a favorite date night destination while we were there. We return to Napa on vacations a couple times a year and Bottega is the only restaurant we never miss while there.

The atmosphere is bustling and trendy, but spacious and the din of noise never interferes with conversation. Service is always exceptional and the food, well, never disappoints and often amazes. Chiarello's unique talents and depth of experience in Napa is obvious throughout the menu, which always features seasonal options as well as tried and true favorites. Everything is done well on the menu -- seafood, meats, pasta, salads and apps, desserts. Wine recommendations are also always well suited to the chosen fare for the evening. We always feel invited to linger over drinks and dessert, never rushed. They make any event (anniversary, birthday, engagement) feel quite special.

Arrive early, if time allows, to enjoy drinks on the heated patio outside or in the bar. We have also found it a delightful stop for lunch or late afternoon drinks and apps and attended a birthday celebration here as well -- also a wonderful experience in a private room.
