My wife and I stayed at the Napa Valley Lodge for a 4 day weekend in early November. It was our 13th time to Napa in the last 8 years and our first to the Napa Valley Lodge. All around we were very pleased with our stay. First, the room was very comfortable and clean. They had plenty of space for suitcases, walking, sitting, sleeping, balcony, etc. It didn't feel cramped at all. Our unit was 47 and was a king with partial vineyard view. The continental breakfast did the job. The breakfast room was comfortable, view of vineyard and highway 29, balloons in the sky, and a nice, fresh selection of pastries, coffee, eggs, yogurts, etc. Everything tasted just fine. The employees were always welcoming and helpful from checkin to checkout to holding and shipping my wine purchases. It's nicely located in Yountsville with plenty of walking choices for dinner. It's also nicely located in the valley, not quite central, but close. The price was a little more than I believe it should be but par for the course in Napa. All-in-all, I would recommend it and it's my new favorite Napa hotel that balances cost, comfort, amenities, and location!

Room tip: Room 47 is nicely located on top floor, vineyard view, and close to the breakfast hall.

Great location in Yountville – centrally located that provided a great base for us as we visited many wineries over the course of several days. The room/bathroom was great – plenty of room for three adults. Amenities, including plenty of bottled water each day, were great. Coffee maker was clearly a step up from the usual thing you find in hotels. The beds and pillows were very comfortable.
The stay included a daily champagne breakfast. This was also a step above the average – hot and cold selections, cheeses, fruits, cereals, breads and pastries to accompany the champagne, coffee, tea and juices.
Every employee – from check in, to check out, housekeeping, breakfast, etc. was great. Very pleasant and willing to assist. And don’t forget the warm chocolate chip cookies every afternoon in the lobby!
We will definitely stay here again on our future visits to Napa.

With the prices in Yountville continuing to increase we had a great stay at Napa Valley Lodge. When looking to make reservations 1-2 months ago the weekend of Nov 4/5 was looking like harvest time prices. We have stayed several times at Vintage and Villagio but their prices were thru the roof and the construction also scared us away. We weren’t sure if it would be complete by our stay and reviews said is was a big deal. We stayed at NVL for a couple hundred dollars cheaper than those options and were completely satisfied.

Check in was very polite. We had a room on the 2nd floor near the lobby, and for 2nd floor rooms there are stairs. The room was comfy and we had 4ppl total staying. The bathroom was large and contained the closet. The shower was large and there was additional counter and mirror space between the shower and toilet. The ceiling fan in the room was helpful in keeping it comfy.

The breakfast was more than adequate. Scrambled eggs were available each day and sometimes sausage or biscuits and gravy other days. The breakfast room was small but never an issue to find a seat.

The heated pool and hot tub were great even in the cool November evenings. There were 3 fire pits with seating which were popular spots. Evening wine tasting from 5-7. The exercise room was lacking. Only 1 treadmill, 1 elliptical, 1 bike and surprising a Peloton and some hand weights.

The location is great. 0.5 mile to V marketplace about 5 miles to St Helena.

For the price it was a great value and glad we saved $600-800 in total for the 3 nights instead of staying at other options in Yountville. That money was put to good use on the trip.

Dear gondekp,
I am glad you chose to give a chance to our Lodge, and thrilled you found our offerings to be great for your trip. Your are correct we do not showcase all the amenities as other hotels nearby but our property is charming in a Yountville farmhouse kind of a way; with a team that aim to deliver genuine service.
It was good to read you found value in us and we will keep working to be a great option in our great valley.
Thank you for your patronage.
Sincerely,
Max Compagnon

This hotel is beautiful and in a great location! We had a vineyard view with a fireplace. It was beautiful to watch the sunrise! The cost of the room was a little higher for what I expected quality wise. But overall everything was great! The breakfast was delicious! The staff was great, friendly and there to help with everything! Even when I called to find a service to bring us to the wineries, the recommendation they gave me and we used was awesome! Peter was amazing and took us to some great places! Thank you for the recommendation!!! It was a great trip for us and we are planning on next year returning!!!
