“Outstanding hotel!”

One of the best hotels to stay in while visiting the wine country! Whether one stays in a room overlooking the pool or nestled in one near the vineyard, all are exceptional! The Staff is especially attentive to our needs, and go out of their way to make us feel welcome each time we visit. The wonderful breakfast was greatly appreciated! The gardens were beautiful, flowers and trees abound. Simply amazing! What a lovely get-away for Mother's Day!

Room Tip: All rooms are great; however, the rooms overlooking the vineyard are exceptional! Ask for one of th...

That we chose this place for my birthday weekend! I thought the price was high at first, bit the location was perfect walking distance for dinner and shopping. Right off the highway, great rooms and staff, yummy breakfast in a nice setting to eat inside or out. The part that blew ,e away is when they called me after we checked out to tell us they found a pair of sun glasses. My cousin had lost them and we looked all over. They fed ex'd them to us the next day. I've never had that happen before.

Does soft guitar music over a spacious, grassy oasis with heated swimming pool, hot tub, fire pit, patio loungers and umbrellas, shade trees, and gently gurgling water fountains all set amidst a well-tended grape vineyard appeal to you? If so, The Napa Valley Lodge is your place. And location-location is also part of the deal here: 1) it's a short easy stroll into quaint and tidy "downtown" Yountville, where world class cuisine and wines are plentiful. So once you park the car, there's no need to drive unless you want to. 2) Yountville is at the north to south mid-point of the Napa Valley, so when you set out from the lodge, you are with 10-15 minutes in all directions of gobs of fab wineries. We got the Bella Vista Suite for the first 3 nights, but then were a touch sad to have to move rooms due to availability. But the king-room with vineyard view balcony was superb and tranquil. We barely noticed any down-side to the change of rooms, although the suite was fabulous with it's large vineyard view porch and opposite-side vineyard views from the sitting room. The room appointments were stellar and modern, beds so very comfortable, room service/breakfast delivery in a timely and gracious way. The included breakfast was simple, filled us for the day, but wasn't gourmet. That didn't matter to us. All staff was most courteous and helpfulness was their gold standard. As for quiet - that was all we experienced...there were no night-time or morning disturbances, or annoying traffic noise. Oh, and there were complimentary cruiser bikes on site. There was everything to like here, and it was one of the most pleasant lodge stays we've ever had.

Room Tip: First, consider getting the Bella Vista suite, then right next to it are rooms 52, 53, and 54, and 5...

My friend of 40 years and I have get we call "Time Out Of Time" where we eat, drink, talk, laugh, cry, and generally leave the "real world" behind. This time we chose the Napa Valley. Our three days at the Lodge were wonderful. The first impression was the look of the building and the very pleasant front desk staff. Very efficient. We had a lovely room with a patio looking out at the gardens and fountains where we sat and drank wine, watched the birds, and enjoyed the peace. It was just a short drive to wineries and one of the most memorable dinners of my life! (In case you want to know; it was at Bouchon's.) It was one of the best "Times" we've ever had. I would recommend it highly.

What a great little find! I'm so glad we stayed here for our brief visit to napa. As we were on our honeymoon, they upgraded our room to a suite with a huge jacuzzi bath! Heavenly. Service was impeccable. I love the hot tub outside - great place to enjoy napa sunset in style. it is conveniently located for all the wine tasting rooms and great restaurants in yountville. We had such a lovely time there, even though we probably spent more money than we would have liked. But we found napa in general very expensive, so I guess within this context, what we paid for the room was reasonable. I did a bit of research before booking this place, and it is cheaper than many other similar hotels in the areas. In sum, we had a memorable time and will definitely stay here again next time we are in napa.

We stayed here for three nights in the Merlot Suite. Yountville is definitely the place to stay in the Napa Valley. Small quiet town with the best restaurants in the valley. The lodge is well appointed; our suite was beautiful. Staff were couteous and helpful. The lodge is restful and calm even though it's close to the highway. Easy walk to everything in Yountville. The pool and surrounding area is great after a day of touring. If you're in a suite you can have breakfast delivered but we found that a better selection was available if we joined others in the serving room.

Room Tip: Choose a room with a view of the pool and grounds. If you go for the vineyard view you will also be...

We spent three nights at The Napa Valley Lodge. The hotel location is not as convenient as most others in Yountville in terms of walking distance to the many great restaurants for dinner when the ladies are in heals but we used the shuttle. The staff at the front dest were polite and accommodating.

Most of the rooms do not have a bath tub which for a hotel of this caliber one would expect. The rooms are spacious and there is enough space to include a bath with a more thoughtful design. The pool area is very nice with plenty of seating and fire pit. The breakfast is adequate but with a few tweaks here and there could be first class. The staff has a hard time keeping up with the demand and there always seemed to be a few items that were low and need replenishing.

There were a few small things that could have improved our stay and again they are small. First, the hotel advertises on their website a certain brand of products but they provide a different brand. I realize this is to many is not a big deal and nick picky. I would argue that an establishment should not advertise and use the name and image of one brand and not deliver that product to all of their clientele. We called the front desk to ask about this discrepancy and they tried to sell us on why the new products are better. They may be right about the new products they are providing but it's not what they advertise and if I were a betting person I bet the new products are less expensive. I suggest the hotel quit advertising the other products on their website and the problem is solved.

When we arrived, it seemed as if our room had not been vacuumed as there were chunks of dirt on the carpet floor. On the second night of our three night stay we did not receive turn down service. The next morning we informed the front desk of the oversight which they said they appreciated and would make sure we received turned down the following night. As you can guess, when we returned from dinner the third night the room had not been touched. Again, many would argue that we are just being too picky. I argue that a hotel charging these rates and advertising a certain level of service should under promise and over deliver. To their credit when I went to checkout and explained that they failed to provide turn down service again the front desk manager provided a $30.00 credit. Interestingly we tipped the maids for cleaning our room (which we always do) while the couple next door did not but received turn down service all three nights. Go figure.

All in all we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this property to others.
