The room was very clean and very inviting. It had a fantastic shower! We were pleased that is was close to many wineries and restaurants and we walked to most places that we dined. The hotel also had a pool, hot tub and fire pit that we thoroughly enjoyed and made good use of. The service was excellent and the staff was available to help us with anything we needed. The hotel also offere a free continental champagne breakfast which was great. They had a great variety of fruits, cereals, toast, bagels, a waffle maker, biscuits and gravy and of course champagne! Would definately stay there again!

Recently traveled to California for a week long excusion with friends. Started in Sonoma and moved to Yountville for one night. Although our visit was short, we found the staff very helpful and the accomodations lovely. The room is spacious and the linens and beds were extremely comfortable. The large walk-in bathroom was beautifully appointed. If we find our way back to wine country we'd certainly consider staying at the NVP again.

The staff was helpful and helped us ship our wine discoveries back east and all we had to do was drop off the bottles in the lobby and they contacted the vendor to arrange pick-up and deliver. Great way to avoid having to do this on your own! Thanks again for an enjoyable stay!

It's a great deal in a nice hotel in the heart of Napa wine country. The staff was top-notch. Within hours of making our initial reservation, the front desk made our reservations at the French Laundry and sent us other recommendations for restaurants in the area. Upon, arriving they provided plenty of information about regional wineries. It's also within within walking distance to the many incredible restaurants and wineries in Yountville. Free breakfast is served daily and surpasses what most hotels serve as a continental breakfast. I have no complaints and would happily stay there again.

We had a great stay even though it poured with rain for two days. The location is perfect for walking in to Yountville though you can hear some traffic noise. The room was spotless, large with a lovely terrace. We had a fire place in our room, duraflame logs are always available at reception at no cost, again a lovely touch. The free wi-fi is great . The breakfast is fine, the champagne being a lovely touch and the room spacious and bright. The pool and hot tub were lovely, especially after all those wineries. The staff couldn't have been more helpful . There is a laptop and printer in the lounge for general use so we could check in online and print out boarding passes. Jo-Anne deserves a special mention for organising our wine tour. Nothing was too much trouble for her. Just a few things to mention. An in-room safe would be good though there were safety deposit boxes at reception. Two comfy chairs in the room would be better than just one. All in all a good place to stay and we would return.

My husband and I traveled to Napa prior to a conference in San Francisco... definitely rent a car, you will want one for exploring the area. Yountville is one of several smaller towns along highway 29 that runs the whole length of Napa Valley. This hotel was awesome.
The rooms are very large, even with 4 suitcases, we still had room left over.... the desk and free internet is great.... the rooms have wood burning fireplaces and they heat the room enough to not have to run the heat at night...
The continental breakfast is the best I have ever had, and I travel quite a lot. The egg salad was good, waffles, fruit, cheeses, different breads, wonderful coffee, and the staff is great refilling food as its barely empty... oh yeah and they provide champagne for mimosas with their breakfast!!
The firepit by the pool is a great place to meet after a long day of wine tasting to drink some more wine... the grounds are immaculate with beautiful flowers and very clean. Wonderful hotel, worth every penny, especially with the breakfast included. Very quiet, never heard the neighbors through the walls..... one note, if you don't like traffic noise, then as for a room that has a patio that faces the park rather than the grapevines which are next to the road. The noise never bothered us as its pretty quiet at night

My son, my mother and I stayed at the Napa Valley Lodge in February 2011.
The Lodge is just off Route 29 in Yountville. It is a pretty Mediterranean-style, two-story lodge. We asked for an upper level room upon check in and received one with a courtyard/pool view.
The rooms are perfect with plenty of space, GREAT marble bathrooms with a glass shower, comfortable beds, a perfect balcony (or patio) for relaxing, and free wi-fi (a great added feature).
We loved the location because we were able to take a ten minute walk down the lovely main street for our dinners and shopping into the heart of Yountville. There are a few wineries a stone's throw away from the lodge and the friendly lady at check-in gave us some coupons for tastings at the local places.
The pool at the lodge was great! We swam in February - the weather was quite mild - and the heated pool and hot tub were in a beautiful courtyard. We had to take advantage of it. There is also a firepit with comfy outdoor loungers and chairs to bask in the glow and warmth at night.
The champagne breakfast buffet was WONDERFUL! With numerous choices - a huge full breakfast is offered with everything from fruits, cheeses, meat, cereals, breads, make-your-own waffles, salads, yogurt, pastries, juices, teas, coffee, and the champagne. Delightful.
The town of Yountville is simply beautiful and a great place for families and couples and singles. Plenty of world-class dining options (we even had a gourmet dining experience with my 5-year-old son) are available.
The staff were excellent and accomodating.
The only thing I didn't like was having to leave!
