We have walked this section of the trail a few times as part of a program of building up fitness for a long distance multi day walk. The path we take, from the car park on Mulligans Flat Road to the edge of Hall is about 16km, with two steep sections including one very steep one up from the Mulligans Flat Road carpark (this can be avoided by a longer more gradual ascent on a path which heads away to the right from the carpark). The walk is very scenic, with rural grasslands interspersed with woodlands and lovely views in all directions from different points on the trail. Those who wish to make it a bit tougher can take the detour to One Tree Hill not far from the Hall end. And you can finish with coffee or something to eat at Daughters at Hall. But go early in hot weather.
