We booked a night in the Abbey House Inn at the last minute in October 2013 and it was a very enjoyable stay. Winters was a great surprise. We were there to see Kim Richey perform at the Palms Playhouse. I love music and so we came specifically for that. There was a lovely main street with wonderful restaurants within walking distance from the Abbey House Inn. We enjoyed the music and the pizza we had and a good nights sleep. The only disappointment is that the Abbey Inn does not seem to have a Tv. Normally that would not be a big problem, but we arrived around 5:30pm and the MLB World Series was on and we could not find a tv to tune into the Red Sox - Cardinals game. There was a radio however and so we would at least listen to the game. The next morning we had an excellent breakfast. It was so big we could not eat until late that afternoon. I will not forget that breakfast for some time. The eggs bacon and homemade bread were excellent. Later that day we went hiking close by and to a winery and had a delightful experience. If you're in the area and love small towns, this one is worth checking out and the Abbey House Inn is a great choice. Its easy to skip on down to Napa and very reasonably priced. Thanks again to our host for a great experience.
