“Great, if you don't need ANY internet access”
Reviewed March 26, 2013

The resort is fine. However I planned to work this week while my family relaxed by the pool. Not happening. AT&T iPhones give you 1 bar of 3G here (I know, amazing right?) and the internet access gives you 2-4 Kbps download. Notice that's Kilobytes, not Megabytes like you're used to at home with your cable or fiber. I used to get that speed back in the 80's with my old telephone line modem! You really can't do anything with the Internet here. I'm a professional network engineer at a big-name internet equipment vendor so I know what I'm doing. After 2 calls to support, they told me "sorry - that's all that is available". Oh, did I forget to mention it costs $15 per week, and you only get 2 devices allowed access at any given time? Sheesh. I had to submit for PTO and take the week off, which I wasn't planning on doing. Oh well.

Room Tip: Avoid the rooms by the pools. They are noisy.

OK, sure, we went to wineries: Russian River, Sonoma, and even Napa. And this location is great for doing so. Only southern Napa Valley is a significant drive at just over an hour. And generally Sonoma county is more casual, relaxed and fun than Napa with a similarly high quality of wines available. But additionally the property is well situated for beaches, hiking and even the ferry to San Francisco. And while you are there the pool is well heated, there are at least 3 spa pools and a game room. The area is quiet and the resort is too. I would suggest a third floor room if possible as we were disturbed one night and morning by the stampeding elephants above. The rooms are large and well equipped and laid out in typical 2 BR timeshare fashion. As noted by others the check in process can be lengthy, especially after a long drive, but much of it was comprised of concierge type advice with the inevitable nudge to attend the please-buy-here breakfast. We got good info that night but spoke with 3 other concierges later and got additional help from each. They each have their own ritual and it was way better to let each talk and combine what they shared. Only the final adviser provided a sheet listing 81 area wineries who let you taste free if you have a VISA Signature card! That was a real money saver.

It was funny...At first we thought our room, #3110, would be a dud. We got in for a weekend on bonus time and this was the only thing available. Downstairs, patio on the parking lot.
When life gives you lemons...It worked out just fine. BBQ worked great...watch out for the new timers!!! Across the street is a ranch where we could feed emus, Brahma cows and a multitude of creatures...Warm sunshine and a terrific sunset!
The real Sonoma County!
I would ask for that room again!

This is the second year that we have stayed here for a week in the winter. Very clean, comfortable and convenient for our winery and vineyard touring. Healdsburg is only about 15 minutes away which is great for dinners. The only flaw is the check-in process. This was a pain last year and it's no better this year. After our flight and a drive from San Francisco, we had to stand for forty minutes to check in. One of the ladies doing check-in said that this was a quiet weekend and that the lines were often much longer. Although we only had a few people in front of us, the process still took 40 minutes. One couple in front of us took 30 minutes just for the first part of the check-in process. Our reservation was pre-paid (a time-share exchange) and we had stayed there before and had no questions. It really put a damper on our arrival. There should some way they can fix this process.

We stayed at The Worldmark Windsor the first weekend of November for the Food and Wine Festival. This is an annual girls' trip AND our first time staying here. It was a great find!!!! We had a 2 BR/2BA with murphy bed in the living room. We had a full kitchen which made it very economical since we spent most of our money on vino!:) The complex had 2-3 pools and hot tubs, a gym, spa, and even had movie rentals. Though we weren't in the unit a lot of the time, it felt like a home away from home. I would definitely recommend this place for a wine getaway. I hope we can stay here again in the near future!!

Nicer than I expected. It looks like it was built as an apartment complex. We had a large one bedroom with a murphy bed in the living room, a gas fireplace, and gas grill on the balcony. Our mid-November stay was very quiet. Very clean, comfortable bed, with friendly staff. Well equipped kitchen. Quite comfortable. The location is terrific for excursions (Bodega Bay and the coast via the Russian River), nice towns (Healdsburg -- Windsor is fine but there is not much there -- and Calistoga is only about ½ hour away over the mountains), and wine tasting.

This is a really nice property in a central wine location. Some of the furniture and amenities seem dated. There are two tv's, but limited high def programming. The kitchen was well stocked, with a neat touch, of small herb packets. Very nice. For being in wine country, a very poor selection of wine glass stems. I understand breakage etc, but a teeny little glass is pretty poor. The couch was a bit undersized. There was a nice gas fireplace in our unit. The outdoor grill was CLEAN, which speaks to the care of the staff. I believe they are updating the units, so I would love to go back when complete. The rooms were a little dark, especially the bedrooms.

The check in staff was great, and the outside was kept very neatly. The staff was very helpful during our stay.

I would go back in a minute. All of the wineries are easy to get to from this central location

Room Tip: We had a top floor. The access by elevator was great.
