“Beautiful and convenient”
Reviewed October 8, 2009

This property was beautiful - very clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and offered free WIFI, a large bathroom with oversized shower and plenty of open floor space. It was very convenient to the 101 so we could get to our favorite wineries and restaurants easily. We loved the breakfast, the helpful staff, and the location. We would definitely stay there again!

This newly constructed Hampton Inn exceeded our expectations in terms of comfort, design, amenities, and location. Even though it is located right off of US 101, you can't hear anything in the rooms.
We stayed here for two nights, left to travel, and came back realizing that for the price and location this was our best alternative in the Wine Country region. It is a short drive to the coast, to Sonoma, or to Napa Valley via Calistoga. And you are only a few hours from the magnificent redwood forests lining US 101 heading towards Eureka.
If you are there on Sundays, go to the Windsor town green in the morning for the weekly farmer's market. This is a real treat.

I am very particular in the cleanliness of bathroom specially, and it did surpass my expectation.

The bedsheets and cover you would ;like to sit on. Actually I bring my own traveler's (magellan sheet) and I did not use it. I love white colors of comforters and bedis comfortable.
Had a nice walk to dining and shops.
Thanks.
Happy traveler.

We tried to find a decent hotel in the Sonoma Valley for less than $150 per night and had almost given up until we found this one (AAA Rate $116 plus tax). It opened in August 2007 so it is still in good shape. We had the front corner room which worried me at first but in spite of the restaurant next door, we had no noise issues. It was a large room with a king bed complete with a duvet cover that they wash between guests (I am a big fan of this new feature!). The bathroom had a large shower--no tub--which was perfect for us. We enjoyed the free internet access and the hot tub (even though we could see and hear the traffic on Hwy 101). Most mid-priced hotels these days have a refridgerator and microwave but Hampton Inns seem to have avoided this trend. We travel with drinks and snacks so a fridge would have been nice. The "hot breakfast" consisted of sausage patties and warmed toaster waffles. They also offered yogurt, cereal, muffins, "fake" bagels, and mixed fruit (where it all tastes the same). We were not fans of the breakfast but considering the choices we had in Sonoma Valley, we were pleased to find this hotel and would stay there again.

We were glad to have you here with us! We have added 2 "make your own" waffle makers to our breakfast. We think that we're still Sonoma County's best lodging value. We hope that you hurry back soon!

There were no disappointments with the stay. The staff was nice and friendly. The room was very clean. They served a hot breakfast in the mornings - buffet syle. The hotel is newly built and less than a year old. The swimming pool was a very nice feature and not crowded while we stayed there. There are several restaurants/coffee shops and a supermarket within walking distance from the hotel. There are also restaurants and shops located in downtown Windsor which is about a 10 minute drive from the hotel. A very cute area to walk around in.

Stayed one night - with my Labrador Barney. The staff is very friendly. The hotel was packed with soccer teams.
The rooms were very clean and neat. Linen was not too great - muslin maybe.
Breakfast buffet was ok - not great. Cereal, bread, coffee, not a great selection of fresh fruit.
Location - perfect.
The strip mall across the street has two grocery stores.

We stayed here one night on our tour of the Russian River Valley. The staff was so helpful and provided us with good information about the wineries, as several were in the wine industry.
We loved the beds, the spacious bathrooms, the breakfast, and its location to the wineries.
