We stopped in late (around midnite) at this little mexican joint, and found great authentic mexican food at very, very fair prices. While this place is an old fashioned " hole in the wall", with a few tables, this is not your average taco place. They have many combo platters on their menu board, which were all served fresh and hot. Everything we ordered, from tacos to burritos,etc... was prepared fresh and had great flavor/spice.The side orders, such as rice & beans was also very good and priced right. This is true authentic mexican food, not the formula american style mexican food that you get at Chili's and Taco Bell, etc...Looking foward to stopping in the next time we are in Pico Rivera. Overall Rating~ Very Good!

Chilango is what a person from Mexico City is called and the name allowed me to know what style of food it was. Pleasantly surprised I was abel to tell difference in the food. It is not your ordinary taco place. Their orchata is the best.

IVe frequented this mexican joint when in the Whittier area and looking for a quick tasty bite.

Do not be turned off by its rusticness, the owners are obviously in business to provide real authentic food and not for the decor. This is your classic hole-in-the-wall eatery complete with handwritten specials of the day on poster boards and gumball/sticker machines of yesterday. There are only a handful of tables that look like theyre from the eighties.

BUT their food is excellent, from your classic bean and cheese burritos to tripe tacos to their Super nachos which seem to have the entire ingredients on the mexican palate.

Most of the clientele order their food to go so seating has never been an issue. The majority of customers are of hispanic origin so you know the food is good.

Dont forget their horchata, or jamaica punch (aka Hibiscus).
