This austere is a very good option if you are in the area. The look of the dinning room is not outstanding, but they have some very good dishes (the risotto and the seafood we had was fantastic), which is probably the most important. We will come back if we are again in this area.

We had some great dished based on local food. The dishes were very well balanced and had great flavours. The staff was very friendly. All customers were local Italians. We had a 2006 Brunello which was very good and not expensive at all. Great price / quality

it's always hard to find good places outside Milan, beyond the well-known ones (and often over-rated!) but this "Punto a Capo" is a nice and un-expected exception.
menu is pretty limited but it features the season's gourmand (specifically wild meats and cold Atlantic fishes)
food is fine, combines non usual ingredients with simple and tasty dressings and sides.
wine list is longer than menu but manageable: good balance between reds and whites, all labels not very easy to find out of specialized places (aka enoteche).
service is friendly although approach could be a bit more professional: however this is fully "excusable" due to restaurant's genuineness.
prices are not inexpensive however have a good value for money vs what is offered.
definitely a good address to remember and check in again in future.

The friendly owner/chef Alberto prepares excellent italian dishes with beautiful creative touches. The highlight was his baked rice dish cut in a large square piece which appeared at first to be fried polenta. Also of note were the excellent mushrooms with pancetta antipasto.

I am really happy to write a good review about this restaurant.
W alone went on a business trip to this unknown part of northern Italy, 20 - 25 km north of Milan.

The restaurant was found by pure chance, in the centre of a small town (Cernusco Lombardone).

The restaurant inside is not extremely big, I would count a maximum of 40 seats, divided in three rooms. The walls are lovely decorated, and also the glasses on the table were quite unique in their shape and colours.

The food was very finely cooked. There is obviously the possibility to choose between fish, meat and vegetarian dishes.

I had a starter of moscardini (a small octopus) with safran sauce, then a dish called "strangolapreti" (small size pasta) with vegetables and calamari.

As a dessert I had a "tarte-tatin" with lime cream... really delicious.

Just to finish, the price was absolutely reasonable for such a dinner.

Therefore let me wish you: "Buon Appetito" !
