Well usually the crust makes the pizza. Their crust is great, but the toppings and sandwiches are even better. They have a bleu cheese mushroom pizza that I love. The Grandma's 1877 sandwich is wonderful, even without the meat.

The pizza was mediocre but, the real turn off is the way the locals act when you step into this place. They stare at you like something out of deliverance! It was really uncomfortable. I am not a city girl by any means but, this place gave me the creeps!

I have eaten here several times over the years when I travel through Westwood. Seems to be getting consistently better each time. I recommend the teriffic salad bar and personal pizza.

They have the best pizza hands down in all of Lassen and Plumas Counties. They also have a really good salad bar. Always friendly service.

I sometimes wonder how busy this place would be if they actually advertised along Highway 36. As it is, it seems to be only for those in the know. And, given the dinky size of Westwood, you would think that wouldn't be that large of a potential pool. But the place always seems busy, and with good reason.

Although a tad pricey (e.g., $23.99 for a 16" combo) the pizza is darn good. It is the kind with a thick outer crust, but thin in the middle. So, since the toppings are piled to the top, you are given a full complement of meats, cheeses, veggies, etc. It is a heavy pizza, but not because of the dough. So the price really isn't bad in that sense.

They also have a small salad bar in the front which is always nice. And, given the unusual name, t-shirts are also available.

One other bonus, given that it is such a small town (pop. 1,647), is that they are open seven days a week and didn't close until 9 p.m. on a Sunday.
