Across the road from one of the ugliest beaches in the world. This resort is a welcome sanctuary from the awful crowded tidal grey muddy so called beach. However it is not as it appears in the online pictures. My room on the ground floor overlooked the ocean except all I could see was a crowded carpark and masses of beach umbrellas and a busy traffic clogged road. I dare not open the doors onto the balcony or swarms of mosquitoes would invade. The had tired furniture and chipped worn paint work. The ac was very noisy. And the shower over the bath (very 70's motel-like) had a curtain that was not long enough to prevent all the water to flood the bathroom floor. Has a nice large swimming pool. Average breakfast. Front desk however were helpful. Finally why anyone would want to stay in this town is a mystery to me.

The Tide is a nice resort, great pool nice view of the beach and palms, across the street is the beach and hundreds of vendors. on weekends the main street is noisy. IT is about 45 mins north of Pattaya by Taxi. The rooms were nice an clean tile floors. beds low and a tad hard. Nice restaurant attached.

Room Tip: Get a deluxe room overlooking the pool.

I have decided to try the Fusion Restaurant of the Tide resort : I prefered to be inside to be away from mosquito, but in fact inside it was full of mosquito so I asked for a repellent spray that they gave me straight away. then the mango smoothie was not made of fresh fruit but ice and sirup.. now I am still waiting for a waitress since 45min after my main course, hopefully it close at 2am... still 11:30pm....
I will not come back again....
to bad it looked nice from outside...
To be positive : my dish was good !

Why is The Tides Resort Bangsaen Beach, titled as in Pattaya ?
Second visit to Bangsaen beach, due to a change in plans due to unrest in Bangkok.
More of a retreat for Thais from Bangkok as its the nearest Beach; good for lounging and playing, but not for snorkling.

The Hotel; ornate entrance into a Cicular reception area, where we were received politely and efficiently. Escorted to our room, which was not as ornate and spectacular as the entrance; just basic amenities in a large bare looking room, and a large bathroom, with no seperate shower cubicle. Noted, some sockets not working, so could only recharge one device at a time!
WiFi was good in the room and by the pool.
Good view over the pool, with a small balcony. Seperate large green towels in the room for use by the pool.

Breakfast was Buffet style with seperate Egg station. Nice selection of Thai and European foods, pastries and Fruits.
They have their own bakery and cafe just at the edge of the property, with a great selection of homemade Thai Delicasies.
Had lunch one day and it was great; Chicken Satay and minced pork with rice. (Again? yes, tis our favourite choice ;-)

Note; the security appeared to be very efficient, with plenty of Guards posted around the property.

Motor Bike Festival on at the weekend, so, very noisy, (just our bad luck) but OK for photo ops.

Overall, a good enough Hotel with all to be expected of an out of Town large Hotel.

I stayed here on a business trip for a few days. My room was clean, the wi-fi worked, and it had a flat screen TV (unlike the picture on their website). Only minor problem was a lack of power sockets, which meant I was charging my phone in the bathroom!

The breakfast is fairly average (reasonable choice, but nothing special) and the swimming pool is large but not ideal for lap swimming (though fortunately it was almost deserted on a weekday evening, so it wasn't a problem for me).

I had a room at the front, and it was quite noisy during the night (seemed to be mainly fireworks and people driving very fast).

My husband and I spent a week at the Tide Resort in Bang Saen recently. Our experience there was very good and positive. The room we stayed in was very spacious and bright with a nice balcony overlooking the gardens and towards the beach which was on,y a couple of minutes walk away. Our room was kept very clean and a lovely surprise was that all the soft drinks and snacks in the room were provided for free. The pool was beautiful and a great place to relax. We ate at the restaurant pretty much everyday and found the food of good quality and variety. We found pretty much all the staff there friendly and very helpful other than one receptionist who was rather surly and rude. The only developmental feedback we have is that it may be nice to provide some cushions for the hard wood sun-beds

Stayed in the hotel for a short period. The hotel was a clean and staff friendly. The food served in the hotel is average, but breakfast good. It took three times going to the reception for the internet to work and the shower did not work properly.

The hotel is across the road from the beach. The beach is mainly used by locals and you will not find a lot of tourists there. The beach is not the most beautifull but during the week quit compared to the weekend.
