Realistically this is the only decent place in town with viewless rooms thanks to the amount of trees in the resort and the line of trees along the beach. We checked in and opted for the deluxe room with 2 "double" beds. In fact they were single beds.
Breakfast was better than expected with a lot of variety, but perhaps lacking on quality. The beach across the road was appllingly dirty littered with more garbage than I have ever seen on any beach in my life. A complete disgrace.
The walk in rate was 3,500 baht ($110) so best to book online and the rate is about $70.

We found exactly what we were looking for. A place only one and a half hour drive from Bangkok with a nice pool and nice rooms.

Tourists are mainly Thai. We arrived Tuesday and checked-out on Sunday. The week days are very quiet. The weekend a lot of Thais stay here.

The beach is fun to walk during the late evening when all Thai people are there relaxing, eating and swimming. Not a very nice beach for sunbathing. Better use the pool area for that.

We could quite easily communicate in English with the staff.

Room Tip: The difference between the superior and de deluxe rooms is the view. The size is the same for both t...

Actually The Tide Resort is NOT located in Pattaya itself,it´s location are approximately 45mins before you will reach Pattaya, The Tide Resort is in Chonburi province which is under Pattaya community! OK,The Tide Resort , we have stayed there at least 4 times and it is still my favourite resort ,very very cosy and quiet location in Bangsaen Beach , a small fishing village with a lots of nice seafood restaurants just at your footstep! The resort and staff are very helpfull and friendly, rooms are very nice and clean with a spectacular pool area, nice restaurant with buffet breakfast every morning, if you want to relax and have this nice place almost for yourself, you shall be there during weekdays as there are hardly any tourists there , but during weekend from friday to sunday the place is crowded but still very very nice as most Thais are spending their long weekend out of busy Bangkok
I can hardly advise you to visit this place , in 4-6 years from now it will definately not be the same,at that time it will probably be like Pattaya and Phuket! So go for it now - you won´t regret!

The Tide is an enigma wrapped in a mystery. Its actually quite delightful in a chaotic, disorganized and fretful sort of way.The staff aim to please but so often get things very wrong, the rooms are lovely but poorly maintained and yet the swimming pool area, the breakfast and service are all really good. It's also worth having a meal there in the evening even though the menu is hopelessly unimaginative and a bit sterile.Best of all is having a pre-meal drink on your balcony overlooking the pool and looking out to sea. There's absolutely not a lot to do in Bangsean so you tend to spend a lot of time at The Tide - and it is a delightful place to chill for a few days.Chaotic, disorganized, occasionally shambolic- but also delightful.

It was my third time at this hotel as, honestly, I could not yet find any better hotel around Bangsaen beach. Room was nicely decorated, but some furniture was already a bit worn out . All the rooms faced the sea but actually no seaview at lower floors all the trees in front of the hotel and along the beach. Recommend to book high floors (Deluxe rooms)

Breakfast was generous enough. Pool not very large and always busy. So we mostly spent time walking across the street to sit by the sea.

Room Tip: Book upper floor (deluxe room)

The Tide was lovely, across the road to the beach with food and clothes stalls to look at. A nice walk to Mr Coffee, or to large shopping complex.
The breakfast at Tide was nice, we had dinner there once and was tasty and alot of it. They also had a band playing, they did sing in english most of the time.
The staff mostly speak english and great to deal with, very clean, will go again.

Room Tip: Book 3 days in advance and ask for the promo
