The waiter was ignoring us initially. When we ordered the table-side guacamole, it took 10 minutes before he returned. I was expecting some great guac, but it was just ok. The rest of the meal was average.

My husband would eat Mexican food every day if he could, but choices are few in our small town. Thus, we make every effort to find decent Mexican restaurants during our many travels. We were staying at the Westlake Hyatt, so wanted a walkable place for dinner. Some of the reviews for Cisco's were not so favorable, but we took a chance on it.
We we greeted and seated quickly and our server was very attentive. Food was great, place was pretty and well maintained. Restaurant was a bit noisy, made worse by a baby crying throughout dinner.
We would go again, when in the area.

Beautiful building and restaurant. Food was excellent and the bar was fun and had a lot of sports on to watch.

Food was good. It was Mexican, but a bit Americanized. Had the typical things on the menu. No surprises. Prices were good. Service was good. I would go back again.

It is a rare and disappointing experience that leads me to offer a poor review, but I think Cisco’s has earned that distinction. My uncle, a local, took us there for dinner. He said he hadn’t been there in nearly 30 years, but he had heard a little buzz about the place and after all, “they’re still in business.” He says it will now take another 30 years before he’s willing to give Cisco’s another shot.
Our waiter approached our table and suggested their signature, top margarita. My wife said no thank you to the top drawer, but would like a regular frozen margarita. When it came, she called it the worse margarita she’s ever had. I had ordered a bottle of Dos Equis beer, that’s difficult to get wrong. We waited a very long time for our food, asking our waiter to please check on our order, though he frequently asked if ladies wanted another margarita. "No thanks." The women in our party had both ordered one of the Combo Platters (which they described as “just okay”) and I ordered fajitas (which was unremarkable for a Mexican Restaurant).
When the bill arrived, we noticed that we had been charged to the more expensive margaritas. Our waiter responded that there was nothing he could do about it. Within seconds the manager was at our table. When we explained our concern, he returned to our table with a couple of bucks off our bill, without apology or explanation. We wish we had had a better dining experience. There is a good chance of enjoying really great Mexican Food in Southern California. Cisco’s was reasonably enough priced, but “just okay” and the service was very poor.
