“Consistently good - excellent service”
Reviewed April 20, 2014

This is a great local restaurant with consistent five star service, excellent food - both at lunch and dinner. The steaks are perfect, and there are comfort food entrees like mac n cheese and chicken pot pie. All the normal favorites - crab cakes, trout, French dip sandwich, kobe beef burgers…..always excellent!

“Happy Hour”
Reviewed April 15, 2014

We went last week for happy hour. Arrived at 4 and was able to get a seat outside on the patio. Previously had gone at 5-6pm and it was a zoo, so we left. On this visit we ordered appetizers, wine and beer. Slow service and the food was so so. Not such a great bargain. Sun hits the patio directly so it is hard to find shade. Inside seating is very cramped and noisy in the bar area. Not one of our favorite places.

“Price Increase”
Reviewed April 4, 2014

Apparently lots of changes here. New managers are more perfunctory in their style and attitude. Menu prices have increased yet quality of steaks do not seem as good as in the past, size of salads are smaller, calves liver $26.50, ..you get the drift. When this establishment first opened, they automatically served excellent roasted peppers and bread (complimentary). Now they only bring bread if ASKED. Wine glasses were water stained, appeared dirty. In the olden days, the glasses were cleaned to a clear shine. These little things mean a lot, and should mean more to the management now that they expect us to pay higher prices for less quality food. Probably won't be a frequent here anymore....good luck.

“Nice steakhouse”
Reviewed February 6, 2014

Ended up eating at the bar which probably wasn't a good idea. Three of us and one bartender to handle the crowd. We ended up with two burgers and one crab cake and one steak quesedilla? All good, but I would go back and try the steak. Although the steaks are pretty pricey.

“Used to be nicer”
Reviewed January 25, 2014

Very nice ambiance, but they raised their prices and now you're paying about $17 for a Cobb salad and that was ordered without chicken or bacon. Just too expensive, now, and the wait for food has always been slow and is still no faster. There are many places to eat in Thousand Oaks and Westlake area, so this will not be a place we return to anytime soon.
