I love to discover wonderful dining in the most 'unexpected' of places. While out shopping @ the 'Westlake Village Promenade' recently, we happened to notice discreetly tucked in the corner nearest Bristol Farm's market, this sophisticated little spot. The exterior presence is similar to that of any high-rent Rodeo Drive bistro - stylish black& white awning beckons your attention at once. It happened to be Sunday mid-day, so after being seated by the very courteous Host, we decided on the 'Chicken-Club Omlette' w/ bleu-cheese crumbles. In additon to other uniquely designed Entrees there are cocktails available for the Brunch Menu - I went with my favorite (Vodka-based) Greyhound; at only 6.00 a glass, very reasonable. We were seated outside on the cozy patio - perfect for people-watching if that's your thing. Once diving into the Omelette it was a sensation of spectacular tastes! A different experience altogether! I think the chicken was the 'unexpected' twist that put this dish over the top. Meal also comes garnished w/ a very nicely presented tray of melon slices and seasonal fruits plus, their delicious crusty 'rustic french' bread. Inside, there is a very lively bar and the room throws off a 'clubby' feel w/ a relatively lively noise level - not my 'cup of tea' but for others, a good scene. Many there were 'regulars' and we got the feeling this eatery is a local water-hole. Valet parking is available for your convenience and this is the perfect way to kick off your Sunday - leisurely, and VERY delicious!!
