Hotel was very clean and staff was organised and professional and friendly. Would not recommend the 'upgrade' that gets offered. Not worth it (unless free). Food was good - we only had dinner and room svc. Was not offered a breakfast package. Convenient to Ventura County jobs and businesses but not if you want to do the LA thing.

This is a great place to stay. The breakfast was included for the Pepperdine family package and it was very nice. You can either eat off of the buffet or order off of the menu. It took us less than 20 minutes to get to Pepperdine Malibu campus. Good location and very quiet.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel along with my parents who are in their 70's and it worked well for all of us. The purpose of this trip was to attend the Rose Parade and see some sights around LA. When we arrived the staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable with a desk, small couch and a flat screen. We had breakfast in the restaurant and the staff was excellent! We also had lunch on day in the sports bar and while good the menu was limited. We also walked across the street to the little shopping center where there were several very good places to eat- Jacks and Tuscany II were especially good!

The hotel was nicely decorated and staff polite and friendly however it was noisy. It has been a long time since I have heard every word coming from the adjacent room.

The air conditioning fan sounds as if it were original to the building and appears to be governed during the evening.

The bathroom does not adequately vent which causes humidity to drip off the windows till late afternoon, making me wonder if the air conditioner is indeed ancient.

The bed is medicre at best which might have been amplified due to extreme heat and noise factors. Their version of a king is questionable.

There was good water pressure in the shower and it was clean with wear and tear limited primarily to the bottom of the bathroom door which again was most likely caused by inadequate venting.

Overall fair to average, fine for a night or two if you like the tropics.

I stayed two nights at the Hyatt Westlake Village. It is a beautiful hotel! The service was outstanding and everyone was very friendly. I had the opportunity to eat in both the hotel restaurants - food was delicious and prices were reasonable. The fitness room was not as nice as many Hyatts I have been to, but enough to get a decent workout in. Valet parking was a little extra, but worth it as I was travelling alone and didn't have to worry about walking through dark parking lots by myself. Also, the guys working the valet were great. The location was perfect - very easy access to the freeway and close to a lot of different activities. The immediate area around the hotel was very clean and quiet. The only negative - and it is not just with this particular hotel - but why do we have to pay extra for internet in the room (although at least this hotel had wireless) when many "budget" hotels offer it for free? I got a great deal on my room so I didn't mind the extra $10/night, but I would rather pay $10 more for my room and feel like I am getting "free" wireless.

Our room was on the second floor towards the back. It was quiet and clean. The TV was an older flat screen that could have been better. We did not go there to watch TV so it was not an issue. The hotel has to be over 30 years old but you can't tell by looking at it. Everybody was as nice and helpful as they could be. Sunday brunch was really good but a little high priced. The kids enjoyed the pool and the service. We would go back if we visit the area again.

This hotel was just what we needed after a long day of traveling. It was beautiful, quiet, clean, and comfortable. The grounds were gorgeous. Too bad we only needed a place to crash for the night, would've loved to spend time at the beautiful pool and gardens. And the price was definitely right! $129 per night, and that was the price they gave us when we called, not an internet deal or anything. Also, close to the Ronald Reagan library which was a neat detour on our trip. Would love to go back.
