We had a great stay at the London West Hollywood. The rooms and the Hotel had a great fit out and the rooms were spacious. Also, the breakast and bar were fantastic so if you are looking for a hotle close to the strip I would recomend it. The staff were all extremely helpful!

The pros:
- Huge rooms, terrific bathrooms
- Nice roof deck lounge (could do more here)
- Great location

the cons:
- restaurant needs to go (although the complimentary bfast is a nice touch)
- the fitness center is awful
- the valet parking situation always seems crowded and takes a while

The hotel is designed well and has great rooms. I would stay here again but they could improve the property by adding some life or a real lobby bar.

Overall we had a great stay.
What we liked the most about the hotel:
- amazing, beautiful and spacious bathrooms
- spacious rooms with sofas and balconies as standard rooms
- amazing views from the hotel pool and comfy sun loungers to relax around the pool
- brilliant service

What we didn't like so much:
- queueing for a table for breakfast!!?? really?? If this should create some hype about the breakfast it totally backfires.
- included breakfast is just ok, nothing special
- food served on the rood top/pool area is just a joke. it's so bad it's quite funny, especially as it is a "Gordon Ramsey" menu.

Overall a great stay, we liked it a lot because of the rooms, the food didn't convince.

The hotel web site is great, the rooms are stylish, comfortable, large, and they have amazing bathrooms! If you get the rooms on offer then this will be a memorable and probably fine stay. The breakfast wasn't anything special, the service was inconsistent, I found the pool way to busy, and noisy in the evenings. (I think locals use the bar for drinks/sunset?). The location is pretty central, although with the lack of a map in room, it wasn't until we were leaving that I realised we should have turned right our of the hotel and would have been smack on the strip! I would probably try another hotel if I returned to LA.

I am not sure where to start with my review of this hotel, but if you only have 5 seconds to read this review let me summarise- don't stay here.

1. The breakfast that is included in the package at the "Gordon Ramsey" restaurant is pitiful. Firstly you have to be prepared to wait in line just to get a table- we had to wait 35 minutes on one occasion. The breakfast itself is cheap- large plates of slightly hard pastries and bowls of cheap fruit (melon etc). The "greeter" was miserable. We stayed 10 days and in the end just had to accept the situation and went out to eat breakfast even though we had a breakfast inclusive package.
2. If you want to use the pool be ready to plan with military precision. It is extremely busy and unless you are there early, you will not get a lounger. Dont even think about getting there early an leaving a towel as they remove it after 15 minutes (to be fair they tell you this). And don't think you can just book a cabana (at $300) as they are also booked up most of the time.
3. By the pool be ready for loads of kids and wedding parties which are loud.
4. The gym is very badly maintained. The machines are dirty and covered in dry sweat (and I mean the same sweat stains for day after day) they are simply not cleaned regularly. The gym equipment itself is not maintained properly and it is tired.
5. In terms of housekeeping, there is work to be done here- covers on the sheets are tired and had rips in them. On a few occasions when we asked for the room to be serviced, housekeeping simply did not bother meaning we had to call down for extra towels.

A few general observations, this hotel is not 5 star - they are sweating the hotel for money and failing to invest so it is looking tired in places. They also had weddings there all the time and this dominates the hotel- perhaps this is their business model- host weddings and provide hotel rooms on the side? i can only guess.

If you are looking for a 5* experience in West Hollywood- look elsewhere- this cupboard is bare.

Our room is large and comfortable, pool area glam, included breakfast is delicious (even good latte), the position is fun, there is a free car service to local areas. But what sets this hotel high above the others is the front desk staff. I have had two problems not related to the hotel that they have helped me with (outside tickets and booking issues) both times the front desk staff continued to help until my problem was solved. A big thank you to Sarah and Eleonora!

I have stayed at this wonderful hotel 5 times and am heading to my 6th this summer. None of the stays were for any reason other than couldn't wait to get back there. I look forward to the smell of the lobby that I recall as soon as you enter. This hotel, from the moment you enter, takes you back. David Collins-designed and truly fabulous. PS, Gordon Ramsay restaurant for an awesome breakfast on site
