Staff was friendly and very accomodating. The valet staff was quick to suggest restaurants with recommendations that were spot-on. West Hollywood isn't exactly laid out like some other cities - there's no "grid" and lots of one ways and the staff was very helpful with providing driving directions.
The biggest negative was that the property needs a bit of work. Our shower didn't drain well and the fixtures were loose. The room was clean, the beds comfortable and the television had a better picture than HD TV's in many much more expensive hotels I've stayed at. Wifi was a decent signal.
Parking a tad expensive, but that's what you get in a city. You could have parked down the block across the street for a few dollars less, but the convenience of parking at the hotel way exceeds the savings.
The attached restaurant, not owned by the hotel, makes great omlettes and we had breakfast there two days and loved it both times. Once again, food's not cheap but this is a city, and city prices tend to be high.
Rodeo Drive is less than 10 minutes away. CBS Television city is less than 15 minutes away. Amoeba Records on Sunset Blvd is about 10 minutes, a really great place to visit if you are interested in any kind of music or movies.
