“Great Staff, Great View, Great Food”
Reviewed January 28, 2014

The restaurants at Sunset Tower are some of my favorite places in LA -- especially the Terrace. The view from the pool is so beautiful you feel like you have left the city and the food is spectacular. I love coming for a relaxing brunch with friends on a nice day. The service is attentive and friendly. Angel is our waiter of choice. Super helpful and always smiling! Highly recommend coming here.

“Offputting Experience at Amazing Place”
Reviewed January 24, 2014

My husband and I live in the area and we love to stop by The Tower Bar for a drink. I know it's Grammy weekend, so I checked the reservations website to make sure the restaurant was open and it was accepting reservations, so we decided to stop in. However, when we arrived we were turned away at the door for not being hotel guests or having a dinner reservation. This was offputting, as we've stopped in many times and this has never happened before. We'll think twice about our next visit, as we don't want to plan our night around a place that may not actually be open again. Really disappointing as we do really love this bar.

While there are more storied locales such as the Polo Lounge or the Chateau Marmont, you are not going to experience Hollywood glamour, new and old alike, more completely than at the Tower Bar.

This is what restaurants were and always should be: outstanding and understated service, terrific and consistent food, urbane and elegant environment and entertainment, and a feast for the eyes given the who's who and who's wanting to be at any and all of the surrounding tables.

But, what makes Tower Bar experience exquisite comes down to one individual: Dimitri, the maitre d'. He is what makes dining out elegant, special and unique, no matter if you're a weekly regular or a once-in-a-lifetime night. His is an old-world, old-school elegance that is as rare as the days when telephones were wired to the wall and never to be heard outside the office.

Dimitri makes every visit a "beautiful night" by how he makes you feel like the only person in the room. But, his magic lies in how he makes the room feel like everyone there was invited to a very special occasion.

“A heaven of sophistication”
Reviewed November 30, 2013

In some almost unexplainable way this might be the only chic restaurant in LA. Watching Dimitri, the demoniac maitre, performing his ritual one-man-show is alone a reason to come here. Food was really good and service was friendly albeit slow at times.

“Art Deco Elegance”
Reviewed November 6, 2013

Service was old Hollywood. As a last minute treat to our self’s we stopped for a cocktail and a bite . The View of LA over there pool is wonderful.
I would not bring young children as it is very quite and reserved..
