Description: A Los Angeles institution, Dominick's serves updated Italian classics in a lovely setting that is romantic enough for a date, yet forgiving enough for dinner with the family. Don't miss the gorgeous brick patios or the 3 course "deal of the century" Sunday Supper for $15.

We´ve been there at friday night, and it was very busy. Service was fast and attentive, but I found the menu very limited, bothe food and wine. I asked for a glass of prosecco, and it wasn´t a good one. But tehy had just 1 choice of prosecco. In an italian restaurant??Pastas are inventive, but I missed a good classic.

So in LA, if an eatery stays in business for 10 years it is considered to be a great place. In the case of Dominick's, it has been serving great drinks and food since 1948. Once a spot for all the stars, it still gets the occasional celebrity. Food is a mix of Northern Italian and contemporary. The outside patio is great for drinks, I prefer the inside for dining. Decorated with a wonderful collection of pictures and old whisky decanters, it has that old Hollywood feel.

LOVE the ambiance & it's a short walk from my favorite hotel, the Sofitel...try & sit in the back, by the fire & hopefully corn will be on the menu as it's the BEST corn on the planet also

If you find real italian food this is not the place. Spaghetti with meetballs is not an italian dish: Not even a single restaurant in Italy would offer you meat balls within spaghetti!
We got housemade rigatoni with fried egglplants, mozzarella, parmigiano and tomato sauce: rigatoni were overcooked, and we didn't see any mozzarella inside.
That was a parody of the italian cuisine.

We celebrated my daughter's birthday on the side patio. Service was amazing! Food was terrific and the ambiance was perfect. Drinks are strong, so go easy! The calamari was yummy as an appetizer. All the food was good, and you won't go wrong. Valet Parking is only $5, so do yourself a favor and use them.
