“Amazing!”
Reviewed June 15, 2013 via mobile

If you've ever wanted to see the redwoods this is the place to go! We loved it! Hiking in a redwood forest is awe inspiring! Don't miss the wonderful visitor center - it's amazing with a mini museum with lots of info and the people working there are extremely helpful. Would love to go back some day.

“"I think I shall never see a thing a lovely as a tree"”
Reviewed May 20, 2013

Being from the east coast there is no way we can appreciate the special nature of the Redwood tree. It is majestic as it reaches up to touch the sky. No camera can capture the total length as the tree stretches upward between it's peers. You have to place someone in the picture in order to give some perspective of the girth of the Founder's or Rockefeller Trees. Still the camera fails to even come close to what we saw in this magnificent forests. The quietness, the smell, the different stages of life cycle of the tree are all displayed in the forest floor. Come and see for yourself, but do not rush through to the next locale. Stop and sit and enjoy. It makes all the difference.

“This Park is GREAT- everytime”
Reviewed April 27, 2013

A return visit for us and just as breathtaking as the first time. Slept among the Giants at Burlington campground and it was amazingly beautiful. No hookups for RV's and lots of tenters. We did a bunch of the hikes that are marked on the "auto tour." Would go back in a heart beat!

“Giants worth the drive”
Reviewed March 28, 2013

The Avenue of the Giants is a beautiful drive and an area of the country that you must see. It is an incredible wonder of America. These trees are awesome. Their size is unbelievable and must be seen to truly comprehend them. The 30 mile Avenue can be done in about 2-2 1/2 hours It is a day trip that is well worth the 3.5 hour drive from San Fran.

Reviewed March 13, 2013

How can you write a review... And explain or describe all of its Beauty? The State park has done an excellent job in maintaining God's Gift to us so we are able see these beautiful trees and the forest floor along the hiking trails! It was more than worth the travel across the country to see this AWESOME Redwood Forest!
