Yosemite is beautiful but this cabin was a disappointment. It was dark, and hot, and the screens on the doors and windows didn't keep the bugs out very well.
The kitchen was well appointed and the bathrooms were nice, but small.
There is no dishwasher and no overhead fans which would have made a BIG improvement.
The biggest problem was that the deck was very unstable, boards poking up, and if you just shifted in the chair, the whole thing shook. I felt a little nervous being out there, and if there had been kids with us, I would not have allowed it.
First off, none of the private cabins are within the major Yosemite basin where most of the sightseeing is done. They are about a 30-40 minute drive to Half Dome, the waterfalls, etc. Also, there aren't any substantial markets in the area for buying food. Either get it on the way up there or pick up things in a large grocery store while viewing the sights in the basin. However, this cabin was cozy, convenient, and we even had a great BBQ one evening on the balcony patio. Oh, and this year April was a perfect month as the weather was good and the waterfalls were gushing with snow melt.
