We have been eating at Cilantro's since 1992, the best recommended Mexican restaurant in Watsonville when we moved here. Great food, fast and friendly service (only once in all these years did we have a ho-hum experience, it was a Monday and the waitress was tired). You won't be sorry to eat here.

Don't let the location in the parking lot of a grocery store fool you. The place is clean, always busy, and has quite possibly the region's very best posole.

Nice menu, not entirely Tex Mex. Good red snapper and shrimp among the usual favorites. Generous drinks, not entirely authentic. Friendly service.

Cilantro's is the best Mexican food. Starting from the chips and salsa to the Margarita's. They have the best combo plate ever... It has cerviche, snapper in a green sauce, and thin sliced steak to die for. The combo plate is enough for two with rice and beans. The chicken tortiallla soup is some of the best I have ever had. Service is great, prices affordable. We will go again and again and again.

We had a large party on a friday night and thought we might be able to enjoy some good old fashioned Mexican (California Tex-Mex) food at a reasonable price. The food was okay-nothing to write home about. It was clean, with friendly service, but the food was just not that great. Not bad, but just not great-which I would not have minded if it had not been priced gourmet. The main drawback to me was the Mariachi band. WHAT MAKES ANY RESTAURANT THINK MUSIC SO LOUD YOU CAN NOT HAVE A CONVERSATION IS A GOOD THING???? If they had sung for 20 minutes at a time and then waited 40 to come back, I would have loved it. They were certainly excellent. But I came for food and family conversation, not a two hour ear splitting unrelenting concert.
