“Just what we were loking for!”
Reviewed June 17, 2014

We were looking for Mexican food like we had enjoyed in Mexico. This was it. It is a little hard to find on Main Street in Watsonville, but it was worth the search. The owners are the chef and wait staff. We had the mixed fajitas and there was plenty for two. It also included home-made tortillas. We left room for flan and were glad we did.

“So good!”
Reviewed May 31, 2014

I discovered this place during a trip to do some camping in February. We wanted to go into town for a meal and were impressed. I ordered the mole, which wasn't to my liking, but the ceviche was out of this world! That prompted another visit during a May camping trip where we only ordered the ceviche. So much food, we thought it had to be the more expensive meal, but found it to have just been the appetizer portion! Food is amazing, prices are so low, service was great - couldn't have asked for anything better!

“Delicious fresh and made with love”
Reviewed April 26, 2014 via mobile

Seafood stew with octopus, shrimp, crab, calamari and more. It was fresh, spicy and delicious and served with delightful tortillas. The chiles rellenos were to die for. Stuffed with a firm queso fresco (cotija?) and lightly coated with a delicate batter, the peppers were sweet & floral. The sauce was incredibly fine, with tomatoes, onions, peppers and a hint of cumin (also some tiny seeds that could have been poppy?). The rice was fluffy and delicious and the refried beans were great - definitely NOT afterthoughts as in so many Mexican restaurants. Search this place out; it is a gem.

“Fresh Mexcian with seafood twist A Gem !”
Reviewed February 27, 2014

We ate here for lunch after a good review in SC Sentinel. Had been many years since I was here. Happy to say this place was busy, food was excellent & service friendly.
Husband does the cooking & wife waitresses. Been open since 1990.
Seafod Mixta tosdada was a fresh mix of shrimp, octopus, scallop in lime base. Almost like ceviche. Very good.
Also grilled shrimp tacos yummy. Friends had chicken enchiladas in mole sauce & also enchiladas in salsa verde- both very good.
Chips fresh & home salsa on table- always a good sign.
Open for breakfast (10:00am) lunch & dinner.
On Main St in Watsonville, across & down from Resetar Hotel. Park in back & walk thru muraled alleyway for easy access.
Beer served & nice array of Mexican sodas for the kids!
