We almost didn't eat here due to the long wait. We took a 10 minute walk because there wasn't much room to wait inside or outside. We came back to wait 10 more minutes and during that time one of the loud children who was outside spilled water everywhere, including on us. Once inside we looked at the other tables to see what looked good. Families loved spoiling their little children by ordering the kitchen sink ice cream & finishing less than 1/4 of it. If you don't like seeing food go to waste, don't eat here.

We ordered the French dip sandwich, grilled eggplant sandwich & ice cream. The French dip, fries, and homemade ice cream were all average. The homemade cole slaw was disappointing. However, the grilled eggplant sandwich was very good.

Great ice cream, hamburgers and amaing fries. The place to take the kids following a Fantasy Forum production or a movie. Lines out the door for the take out ice cream and lines at the hostess station but worth the wait!.

As a Man Vs Food addict, this place was a must to visit. Located about 30 minutes drive from San Francisco in the city of Walnut Creek.

I ordered an appetiser of chilli cheese fries which would have been sufficient for a main course in my opinion. The ice cream sundae was simply the best ice cream I tasted on my trip to the US and would recommend it to any ice cream lover.

Don't forget to validate your parking.

Over the years, we have celebrated many a child's birthday party here with their show-stopping Kitchen Sink Sundae (8 scoops of ice cream, 8 toppings, whipped cream, cherries, nuts). But, they are more than that gigantor sundae.

Their ice cream is made on the premises and is some of the best traditional ice cream I have ever tasted. Vanilla with real vanilla beans, apple pie made with... a fully baked apple pie!

This week, we ate a meal there prior to indulging ourselves with a delicious scoop. I was surprised at how good the food is too. Homemade potato chips, not pre-packaged. My salad with bbq chicken was enhanced with the addition of cranberries and apple slices (I added some bread and butter pickles and the dregs of the cole slaw from another family member's plate - it was delicious!).

Service was prompt and polite. Our waitress was very accommodating and brought our starving children something to nibble on until the food was brought out.

They try to fit in as many tables as possible so seating is cramped. And it can get backed up at peak hours. Thank goodness they also offer takeout if all you want is a good scoop of ice cream on a hot hot day.

Next time you are in Downtown Walnut Creek and want a good scoop, stop by and try a few flavors.
