We frequent Il Fornaio quite often because the restaurants in both San Francisco and Walnut Creek are beautiful and great meeting places for friends. When the weather is nice, the outdoor dining is lovely. The seasonal specials are hit and miss. Three items that are consistently delicious are the beet salad, the pumpkin ravioli, and the zambione. The service is always friendly, and reservations are highly recommended. They have a very nice wine list. Bar drinks have not won any raves from my colleagues or me.
