Service and food are both quite good especially for being in such a small town. We have dined here several times over the past 3 years with friends who live in the area. Most recently I had the asparagus pasta with mushrooms and my wife had the cod. You can not beat the service or quality anywhere else locally. Very friendly service.

OK after 5 days in Carmel and Healdsburg, it was a bit of a challenge thinking we would have a memorable experience in a town called Volcano at the top of a mountain, driving on an 'interesting' road. Great, memorable service, surprising well done food, creative staff and best of all real people from all walks of life, enjoying life made this a 'worth the drive' visit. Operated by the same people as Taste in Plymouth (they know something about food), my wife and I all the way home were smiling about how they exceeded our expectations. Lots of surprises. Good, not extensive tap beer list, value oriented, yet surprising quality wine list and things like a double espresso for $2.25. The off the chart creative mark went to the manager who fixed us up with local eggs and fixings as take ingredients for our breakfast the next day at our cool rental home up the mountain. Still smiling.
They have a live lobster Fest tomorrow night. Got to go!

We enjoyed the outdoor seating, very rustic with a water feature & cool rock tables. They have a great menu with lots of thing I wanted to try. We opted for the fish & chips special & the famous lamb burger. Pita bread bun & generous sized lamb patty. Cooked to my liking. They also had 4 decent beers on tap. Service was great & location was fun - near caves. Make a day out of it!

We've been going to the Union Pub since it opened a couple of years ago in the Union Hotel in Volcano. Great selection of draft beers and the food is better than anywhere in the region. The restaurant has a wonderful garden patio with interesting stone tables that makes outdoor dining over the top. Great brunch spot.

We had a good meal with family sitting outside at the Volcano Union Pub. Built in 1880, it is an Inn and eatery. Saturday's special was Fish n Chips. They have on the menu sandwiches and salads all the time. Great place to meet family and have a good meal. Make sure you walk into the building to see the wood floors and antique stairway.
