Wow, this hotel imprinted an impression into my mind that will not go away soon. We booked the room based on the price, and the website photos. Upon arrival, it became obvious the photos were taken from another era, the outside was unkempt. They required a hefty deposit, which led me to believe and trust that the rooms must be nice and well maintained. This, turned out to be very untrue.
The room smelled dirty, furniture and fixtures in disrepair, carpet sticky and dirty with food particles, dust on all surfaces, the safe had no key, bed was uneven and lumpy, a back problem was just a sure thing, oh, and the towels had a weird odor. Clearly, this little get-away became a let-me-get-away-now. In an attempt to save the day, I called the front desk and described our predicament just to get rehearsed answers to everything and solutions to nothing. Feeling a bit hopeless, I even offered to clean the room myself after being told the housekeepers were not on site. They replied by telling me there was no vacuum, no broom, no cleaning supplies on site, WHAT?? The front desk had an uncaring tone on the phone and had no way to contact anyone who could solve things. It really started to sound like we made a terrible mistake in staying there.
Now, I go to the front desk attempting to solve things. To my surprise, they offer us an upgrade and things seem to look up. Delighted, I check out the new room which is a suite and it seemed clean, tidy, and a breath of fresh air compared to the dungeon we were just in.
After settling into the suite, we noticed a few flaws such as the windows did not open. We had to get tools from our car to open the windows. The safe was actually an unsafe due to no key yet again. The shower was a trickle at best, but we felt better. Then, the unexpected fireworks were excruciatingly loud around 10 p.m, and it would have been kind if they just reminded us of the upcoming noise, but they did not. Finally, peace and quiet, and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was chaotic but decent if you can function on carbs. After the second night we discovered the worst offense so far. While gathering up soiled towels and pulling the sheets off the bed in order to help housekeeping, I discovered that we had been sleeping on sheets with massive blood stains. As my horror turned to anger, it was clear that the housekeepers could not have missed such a large stain, but decided to make the bed anyway. This is unacceptable and unforgivable, as well as ending our get-away early! Now we have to deal with management which was not easy and we did not hear any explanations or apologies.
No one should have to sacrifice sanitary conditions just because a room is affordable!
These issues may not happen to others, but our stay was horrific enough to never return. I recommend reading reviews and trusting them if they are overwhelmingly poor. Go elsewhere if you value cleanliness and hospitality.

Room Tip: Get a suite but check it out thoroughly before accepting, including the sheets. Request a room as fa...

The staff was very helpful and professional however the property was in need of repairs and upgrades. Shower had constant leak and exterior walk ways were stained and dirty. It appeared that there were some long term residence staying there. We would probably not stay there again.
