Fun things for small children to do while family shops at good selection of stores such as Home Goods (excellent) and clothing shops plus restaurants to ease hunger pangs including Fenton's Ice Creamery for the best and biggest sundaes ever seen

“This was Fun”
Reviewed November 21, 2012

This was a lot of fun for small children.Ride a train and merry go round. Bring lots of quarters for the rides, there is also a Jelly Belly store, skip the one in Fairfield and try this one.

“Shopping”
Reviewed October 17, 2012

I like to go shopping, mostly to Old Navy and Home Goods, located in the same area. Fenton's is good for a very casual lunch.

“Views beat the shops”
Reviewed October 16, 2012

While River street is a destination many head to while in historic Savannah, know the river views are worth the stroll along the water's edge ...but the shops tend to be ( predictably) touristy with "made in China " tee shirts, and salt and pepper shakers. There are also several pubs, many with great foods! It does become a gathering area for partiers, at night, so if that isn't your idea of fun, spend the earlier part of the day there, and go elsewhere at night.

There ARE several candy, nut, and ice cream shops, many offering samples and friendly conversation about their products, and the area. There are a variety of restaurants here also, moderate in price, and with a price point for most purses.

If interested in a river ( dinner or brunch ) cruise, or a trolley tour of historic savannah, you can buy tickets for both in this area, and trolley stops as well as boat departure sites are located here

There are several hotels along River Street, too...all making access to Historic Savannah easy.

“Just a Place to Waste Money”
Reviewed September 24, 2012

It's not a family park - it's a mall, an expensive one at that. These are not "outlet" stores. They try to use famous people's names and photos (without permission apparently - which is theft, imo) to draw business but they don't go there, nor would they. All that had been there that was good has been destroyed.
