This was our second visit and It is now our family hide away! Only 140 miles from SF yet feels like a million miles away.
The water is crystal clear, spring fed, cool but not cold...DO NOT think this is anything like gross Clear Lake 10 miles away! Peter, the owner is a great host and is every where, in a good way...his Swiss hospitality is rare in the USA these days and adds volumes to the enjoyment of your stay. All the rooms are tastefully remodeled and spotless.
The photos on the website what it really is like.....one or two nights make you feel like you have been relaxing for a week.

The free breakfast is unbelievable. bacon, eggs made to order, home made pastries, and much more, served on the deck on the lake...fantastic!

This is an Oasis in Lake County

Room Tip: The Lakeside kitchenettes or spa rooms are The best

My two kids (ages 12 and 9) and I stayed at the Lodge at Blue Lakes for a few days since we're were visiting the area for a wedding. I really enjoyed the beauty, the small size, the quietness and the water at Blue Lake. Renting a little boat to take you over to one of the few rope swings was the high light of our trip! The owners are very kind and helpful people. This is a nice place for family where alot of partying is NOT happening..which makes it a great place to return someday!

My son and his beautiful bride were married at the The Lodge at Blue Lakes on the 4th of July. We arrived the day before the wedding and were absolutely delighted with our room and the staff! The room was beautiful and the staff worked tirelessly catering to our family and friend who came for the wedding. The ceremony took place at the gazebo, over looking the lake. The view was amazing. The reception was catered by the staff at The Lodge at Blue Lakes and the dinner was delcious! We could not have asked for more. The stay, the wedding and the staff were perfect! I would recommend the The Lodge at Blue Lakes for weddings to family reunions to a nice weeked getaway. I am hoping for many more family gatherings to come at The Lodge at Blue Lakes!

The staff was very warm and helpful, the room was lovely (though small), the lake is magnificent (we had an amazing sunset kayak ride!), they were so welcoming of our dog! The bed was elegant and comfortable, the shower was elegant and roomy. The warm croissants delivered to our door were perfect!

There is a fish-cleaning station and several gas grills all ready to cook up your catch or whatever you bring!

Room was updated and well appointed. Staff was superior. We stayed to attend a wedding at this location and the wedding coordinator and entire event was top notch. Beautiful lake as well. We have stayed at a competitor on the same lake for the last 14 years and I would recommend The Lodge at Blue Lakes to anyone. We will be back!

Room Tip: Ask for lakeside.

We were so pleasantly surprised to find this off-the-beaten-track lake resort nestled in the mountains between Napa and Hwy 101. The setting is so peaceful & lovely, innkeepers very hospitable, and the little nearby town very quaint. We wished we could have stayed longer...a great place to go and just relax. Also, there is a fantastic event facility on site for weddings, etc.

You don't always find them like this, but this spot is truly a gem.
Blue Lakes Lodge harkens back to a time when personal pride of presentation by the owners was apparent in the larger picture.
Before my wife and I visited, I'd read so many positive reviews that It would have been easy to believe that that they were written by the owners, but such is not true here. The positive reviews are genuine and correct.
Please imagine a great, old-fashioned lodge retreat on a spring-fed California lake like it used to be, and still can be, and you'll find it here! Truly a unique a relaxing getaway.
Thank you Peter.
